  • 2004 v 2010

Just think the unthinkable for the purposes of this thread.

Say we lose the GF against Saints.

Would it be worse that losing to the Bulldocks in 2004?

Assume we play as badly as we did that day.

At the time I did not think anything could be worse than losing to those animals and their revolting fans.

Now I am not so sure.

the difference is that though scum, that dogs side was awesome. this saints side is average imo. how can anyone claim a gf with dean young at hooker, hornby at half and soward at 5/8 not to mention their one-try hero at fullback. they have a good pack thats undeniable but i think ours can put them in their place with youth and size. their outside backs arent too bad but they dont really get any ball if im being honest so in that respect it would be worse but there is just as much at stake if not more - the fact that we would present them with their first premiership in 30+ years is a terrifying thought

        St. George.

They are a ridiculously average football side, held together by Bennett.

        He is everything they've got.

          2004 almost killed me.

A loss on Sunday will be on par

Speaking of unthinkables, a loss to the Vermin in a GF will definitely kill me

I've never seen a Roosters vs Vermin final of any kind so I don't think that's ever going to happen.

There is no redemption to be had at the Saints like in 2004 with the dogscum, after the pack rape of that retarded girl in Coff's Harbor, so I am not worried that the NRL will fix it. Especially with the copper's nark in charge.

It will be hard to swallow if we lose to the Steelers.

In saying that, in 2004 we hard a fierce rivalry with the Cheats.

                Tough question Tobin.

I'm leaning towards losing to the Steelers.

                Easts to win.

ah what do they say about great minds Bluester? Seriously though this week will be the worst because it is now. A grand final loss is like the death of a loved one or the break-up of a relationship. Devastating at the time but a little less so as time passes. Don't worry, we are going to win. Go Roosters!!

nothing can ever hurt more than seeing Fittler bow out without winning the comp....and ontop of that losing to the bullkebabs, made 04 unbearable

One thing worse than losing to the Illawarra Socks...losing to Souffs. And you know thats never gonna happen in a GF.

The Dogs was bad, but we seriously blew that. Penrith was worse.

Losing to Saints worse again. We must not lose. And Im starting to think we will win and win well.

The chokes actually think their win last week broke their Choke Tag. They are trying to psych themselves up into believing after 31 years, if they lose this Grand Final it wont be a choke.

They are more focused on not choking than actually mentally preparing to win.

                      We have them covered JT.

We will be rejoicing on Sunday night.

I mean in 2004 the chookies choked big time!!! they won the flegg and the reserve grade, was leading at half time in first grade and the doggies caught them

Saints by far, the 2004 Dogs team was put together illegally and hence fielded a ridiculously awesome team.

This Saints team has one of the most ordinary 1,6,7 and 9 combination to ever make a Grand Final....if we play our best we have them covered, I'm unfortunately not convinced we will play this best though

2004 was the second saddest day of my life. Ricko not playing, Freddy retiring, the way we lost. It was all so horrible.

I will be crushed if we lose this week BUT, I never expected us to be where we are. In 2004, I knew we'd be in the GF and I was so confident we'd win it.

2004 would be worse for me as my outlaws are all dog supporters. The whole frikken family. I got married in 2005 but i tell ya it may not have happened if we won. At least if the Mother in law had a say!!
