  • Kennedy needs to start

The more I think about it the more I think Smith needs to pull a trump card out this weekend and change the lineup.

Kennedy needs to start. FPN off the bench.

We need another big bopper for the first 15 mins. We need to hit them ****in hard. We need to surprise the **** out of them. Blitz crig mun.

Last time we stung em with Mossy and JWH but it was way too late.

    The super-coach has spoken.

I concur Roosterfarian. I was thinking this last night (thinking about the game 24h/day atm!).

FPN will get smashed if he starts at prop and plays up the middle. We need Kennedy to take some of the runs up the middle to take some heat off Ryles and Myles. Kennedy is a much bigger boy than FPN these days and its very hard to drive the big man back as the scum will be trying to do in the first sets. It will also settle the nerves of the young lad.

FPN will be much more effective once the heat has been taken out of the game after the first 15 minutes.

I'm a big Kennedy fan but he might be a bit raw to start a GF.

I'd go for Conn to start with FPN on the bench. Imagine having he, JWH, Kennedy off the bench!

Hopefully Graham is fit so we have BJ as our other reserve. That's some serious impact.

He's playing great footy coming off the bench. There's no point changing what is working!

Where did he come from? Mate have you been on vaction on Planet Saturn for the last few months?? The kid has been killing them for most of the back-end of the season. He has gotten better each week. Mark my words, this kid will be the number one prop in the game in the not too distant future.

he certainly does make the most of his time on the field

regularly gets around the 100m mark despite playing on average 35 minutes or so

                  that is outstanding.

I hope it was just rumour that the Storm were talking to him.

He has another year to go but surely he is Smithy's plans going forward.

With Ryles here just for next year, Kennedy should be ready to be our starting prop by the middle of next year and beyond.

Can't agree Bobby M, FPN will only be used for 3 or so hitups in his first spell - he will however tackle everything and keep things nice and tight. The trio of Kennedy, Conn and JWH have been providing so much off the bench during the finals - don't fix what isn't broken!

Have another puff on ya jay mun.

Yeah let's not change anything even though they've beat us twice this year.

Remember Stuart's masterstroke to start Crocker at hooker against the scum semi-finals.

I agree that Smith know's best but I'm positive Saints are going to come out all guns blazing trying to wipe us off the park from the opening whistle. FPN is not a front-rower I'm sorry. When you add too lightweights in Anasta and Maubs in the pack as well....

                        We need to bolster.

Oh I agree that FPN isn't a front rower, he won't be used for many hitups early - but to tackle his ringer out for the first 15 - 20 and then we'll see him shine late in the second half. I don't want to see us change things up passed on performances months ago when we were a totally different team, we'll be fine Farian.

We were better in the second game and could well have won. Third time lucky. We have improved substantially since our last outing with them. They are much the same. Mind you.. their same is still a worry.

Saying 'Brian knows best' means nothing, as Brian may decide to start Kennedy as well. We won't know til game day.

I just don't like the idea of starting the biggest game of the year with one prop. You wouldn't do it in an origin game. The first 15 minutes will be both explosive and crucial. Ryles needs a hand in my opinion.
