  • Gut Feeling : Weyman 's injury worse than they're letting on

    Anyone else get that feeling?
Saw him post game Saturday - he looked very sore.

I know that people will say "played with it all year" .. but I reckon it's worse than what they're saying.

Who was their needle man in '75? Maybe they should use him again.

I really can't see Weyman missing their biggest game of the year.

Weyman is due to train with the team tomorrow. I reckon he will play but not as effective as he has previously been.

I like this quote: "Weyman worked out by himself before retiring early to alleviate pressure on his groin"

Hopefully it really affects his game because he destroyed us last time he played.

we need to work him over in defence, the worst thing for groin injuries is lateral movement.

he and jeremy smith are their pack imo. the rest are all good players but these 2 are the steel, glue and real hard-edged players. myles needs to topple smith and ryles, JWH and Kennedy need to belt weyman and carney and pearce need to move him around. that will go a long way for us towards victory. in terms of pack weights, we are similar - the problem imo has been that FPN has lost a bit too much weight so starting, he can get dominated a bit but they have costigan who is arguable a backrower up front so FPN should be able to get one over him and then our bench and the rest of our pack is way bigger than theirs without losing mobility. we should win but the key is to get 6+ ahead. play a very physical, up tempo game and score those points early. if we can get ahead and put the pressure on their forwards with big hits they are sunk - jamie will go walkabout even moreso and the ball wont reach the flanks.

                    GO EASTS

Hopefully they needle him up, worked a treat for Langlands in 75.

He was struggling on Saturday night.

The worst thing for him is coming off then going back on again.

You don't get over groins in a week. They need rest if not surgery. Wishbone the ******. That'll test it.
