Hi guys,
This isn’t a “rub in your face” story, but one of mine that has a happy ending.
Seven weeks ago I became a member of NRL.com so I could get tickets to the Grand Final at the earliest point possible for us guys desperate for a good seat at the big game. I couldn’t believe when I got online early and put in the password and saw what crap I was going to be dealt for $180 per head (another great Rooster supporter was dealt these tickets) and I thought, “**** THAT SHIT” I wasn’t going to pay overs for that. The Roosters were in their three game losing streak and I thought, **** it, who cares my team ain’t gonna be there anyway.
I surfed eBay straight after Friday nights game in the hope I could get some decent tickets at a decent price, and was disappointed deluxe, I was resigned to watching it at home, end of story.
My brother in law, who is a massive Dragons supporter, as is his brother… rang me today at 5.30pm, and of a reasonable sized company man, and gave me the biggest call of my 30 year + Rugby League Eastern Suburbs supporting life.
Do you want to come and watch the Grand Final in a corporate box with us !!!
