  • Sundays weather

I must say all week i have been very confident that our team will win this Sunday,i always believed that we have too many attacking options, and will beat the Dragons.

But now that i have seen the weather forecast to be possible showers and thunderstorms,i am really starting to panic.
I keep getting on different weather channels hoping i may see a different forecast, but keep seeing rain.

Although we played a really good game against the Warriors in torrential rain a few months ago,i still believe it will suit the Dragons and they will bore the game to death and possibly jag a win..

Please can someone convince me otherwise,as i am going mental!

    Go the Roosters!

The rain will certainly suit the Dragons

One would think so.But the wet weather also slows the play down around the ruck area where St George rely on there quick play the balls

My main concern is that we play an up tempo speed game, which was also confirmed by Matt Rogers as the main reason why they couldnt keep up with us.

So in regards to the rain on Sunday,i am worried that it will limit our ball movement and in turn slow our game down. Then the only hope we have is to beat the Dragons at their own game, hopefully we can do that.

Regardless of conditions, I think if we complete our sets and defend well we will win.

If we put pressure on ourselves with dropped balls, that's where it will come crashing down.

                  Very true mate.

That theory still applies if it is dry. The only thing that worries me is that the Steelers style may frustrate us.

                        Consider this my friends.

In 2003 we had the best defence in the league - by far. Penrith had the best attack.

It was pissing down all night in the GF. Who won?

What did they do? They compressed their defence big time in the middle of the ruck cause they knew we wouldnt be throwing the ball out in the rain too much. It worked.

I hate to put a downer on the general CHOOKIES Vibe.....BUT

If it rains we are in SERIOUS TROUBLE.

I have been to the last 4 Chookies GF appearances and when it rains we lose...( noted exception with Brisbane in 2000..Sunny all day but they were red hot that year )

RAIN is the DEVILS WORK I tell you....

I was worried about the rain, I'm not now.

Saints are the favourites maybe a bit of rain is a variable that can tip it in our favour. Also I don't think it will change our play too much we will still be effective in the wet.
