i agree with you johnny tobin, and i think he just goes to far with praising the opposition about how great they do things, last night when the merge scored their first try i was expecting him to blow big time about the touchie missing the blatant foot in touch but the tosser didnt, his words where oh the touchie was unsighted or something to that extent,and that was it! during the season he would be calling for heads to roll.... and we would be listen to him for the entire 80min about the huge error....i just want to add that i thought the turning point to the game was a few minutes into the second half we were spreading the ball wide and i think it was pearce thru a forward pass.. the merge then scored in the next set of six and it felt like to me we never recovered from there...

I agree, I felt that was the turning point for us in the game. Up until then no matter the setbacks I felt we had their measure, then we seemed to fall apart. Even 12-8 down I still thought we could win.

He loves RL, he loves the Roosters, but he also loves the Dragqueens and was desperate to coach them prior to Bennett. But more importantly he loves Gould.

Gould is not stupid, but the cleverest thing he has done is convince people that he is a "guru" of RL, that he can be the saviour of the game.
He is not a doer, he speaks and changes his mind frequently, as someone says he is the "guru" of hindsite, not innovation or RL itself, just hindsite.

End of the day the players have no idea what Gus is rambling about.
He basically coached for a few seasons, had good luck and now just talks about how good he is/was. Other commentators are scared of him because he is such a big headed asshole, always talks like he is the boss and never backs off (even when he is totally unprofessionally haggling on live air.)

For what it's worth, he often does know his shit. He just gives me the shits because he is such an arrogant loud mouth.

Shane Warne was worse... "oh yeah brian won't be happy... his forwards aren't dominating..." (how many times did he say that when ironically we were dominating their forwards for some time? Too many, that's why he got booted outta the box.)
