    Another thing.....

I was a bit disappointed with the way we approached the game defensively. I know we've played a passive sliding style of defence all year where we've slid and held off until the team runs their play before committing numbers to the tackle, but Wests gave us the blueprint for worrying the Dragons but we chose to ignore it. It was even more disappointing given the conditions that we chose to use a sliding defence again rather than using the 'in your face, up and in' style that Wests used so effectively in the preliminary final. I'm not sure whether Smith or Robinson were responsible or whether they thought about changing the way we defend at all. Maybe they thought it was too late and they would stick with what got us that far in the first place, but we really need to be able to adapt our defensive structure a bit more to suit pur opponents.

How about when we went left and it was the 4th tackle instead of going the blind side and passing to BJ t score our 3rd try in 10 minutes, Linnett went himself and wasted a tackle.

Hoe about the forwards not making many meters to ensure Pearce and Carney had the depth required to play. How about Skids cheap turnover. And Myles' dropsy.

A lot of things didnt go our way (look at the avatar for more proof). Lets leave it at that and stop blaming a player that wasnt to blame at all.
Melon you have misunderstood my point. Nowhere in my post did I say he wasn't one of the better players on the field.

All I'm saying is that an older more maturer player doesn't push the pass.

If you don't agree I'll get over it.

      In fact I already am.

Exactly. We can't control refereeing decision but we can control things like pushing passes.

We shouldn't have been in a position to whinge about a refereeing call. We should have been hammering their line.

Very true. A game of footy is all about a number of mini contests that go into making up the overall game. We lost that mini contest and Saints were able to take advantage of it, and the referees incompetence.

I get your point, just throwing some more names that either were just as inexperienced or played like it. It doesn't matter now....its too late, but is love to know what smith told them at half time.
