Fox sports call

Watched the replay on Fox when we got back to Canberra last night and found it very interresting that they said that 4, thats FOUR of the Merges trie should have been disallowed. If you get the chance to see the reply on Wednesday, watch out for the call midway through the second half.

Dont know what the view of Vautins stoogers was, but the Fox guys were on the mark.

I have followed the game for 35 years.

There has never been such a "controversial" grand final.

In my excitement for the grand final, forgot my old dodgy walkman for the "sports ears".

Unfortunately had the "sports ears" to listen to the game at the game, but had endure the channel 9 commentary. First and last time. Usually they have the Fox commentary on. Ch 9 did not illustrate the dodgy ref decisions.

When I saw the replay on Fox (with the Fox commentary), my blood pressure went through the roof. From feeling very disappointed to being extremely ****ed off. We got done over big time, with dodgy decisions at crucial times killing our momentum. Yes, they played better than us in the second half, but the 50/50 calls favoured them.

My trusty old walkman is making a comeback, the ch 9 commentary team is a joke.

They weren't 50/50 calls most of the time. They were 100/0 calls that still went against us.

And I was like you. Listening to 9 at the game I was not blowing up that much. When I got home and saw it on the TV with Fox I couldn't sleep.

Saw Gallop at the Cloey this afternoon drinking with a few News Ltd journos. Felt like spitting on him. One of the blokes who I didn't recognise was wearing a St George jumper.

Made me ****ing sick.

With the yellow socks the refs look like licorice allsorts........and perform like them!
I can't watch my local news.....all Dragons.....must avoid my neighbours and "friends"....full of told you so's.....
I feel sick after watching what I recorded.......seeing what they got away
with, as usual......and thinking what might have been.
We played as well as we could under the circumstances....I'm proud but
sad.

On watching the reply, in the Dean Young try.
The head on shot clearly showed the ball touching Aubbo, they then showed the side on shot to the right which was inconclusive, then they kept replaying that same inconclusive shot about 3 times, they showed one angle from the left which was blocked by the goal post, then they go back and show the inconclusive right angled shot again

It was only BOD from the right side shot. The head on shot which clearly shows the Aubbo touch (and knock on) and yet they only showed it the once, and yet they kept going back to the inconclusive right side shot 3 or 4 times .... unbelieveable !

Even Gus was saying, " the head on clearly shows no try, but from the other angle you can't tell so you could only go with BOD".
When they awarded BOD, couldn't believe he just meekly accepted it ??
If it was St.G on the end of that .....you would have heard NO NO NO NO NO !

How can you say they were the better side? They looked the better side to anyone that doesn't understand the rules but I would never agree with your statement.

Jt, I watched the 04 loss six times. We blew that one. But I will never watch such a one sided ref performance as this years grand final.

The reality is if we were good enough we would have buried them in the firsthalf.

Melon, we were good enuf. Should have been AT LEAST 12 nil and then a totally different game in the second half. Even with the merge playing as well as they did in the second, they were helped massively to take any momentum away from the chooks. you can beat the 13 in front of you. Very hard to beat 17 which includes 4 licorice allsorts!
