Leilau has hopefully played his last game on the wing. He did well considering his inexperience but it's just not his position.

Justin Carney will push Graham for that wing spot.

Linnett didn't look to be the same player after his knee injury. Maybe a good pre-season and some bulk will transform him into a good solid first grade centre.

Leilau could also play centre but if he grows much bigger then he will be a backrower.

Looking forward to having Cherrington and Boyd Cordner in the squad.

I still think we lack a little go forward. We can't always rely on dummy half metres.

our backrow workrate was badly exposed on grand final night, not sure how long we can continue to carry both Maubs and Anasta as 80 minute backrowers they just don't do enough hit ups, it is just putting to much pressure on the likes of Friend and Myles to tackle themselve's into the ground.

having said that the way I see it injuries aside there are only 2 spots in the top 17 up for grabs.

          Left hand side winger :

          Graham
          Naughton
Kheirallah (who has been promoted into the top 25 squad)
          J.Carney
Leilua (even though he is not a winger if properly trained could be damaging)

Final spot on the bench with Watts, Kennedy, JWH certainties:

          Masoe
          Leilua
          Tasi
          Cherro
          Symonds

IMO with a pre-season under their belt, Symonds and Cherri could be automatic selection at some point of the year if they get over their injuries and reach their potential. I'm also surprised not many have mentioned Conn. One of our best forwards all year and nearly got his payback on the Dragons new princess. Did you hear what he said to Archer? "Chief....missed it by that much".

Our depth next year is amazing.

Who mentioned Sonny Tuigamala? Firstly, I believe he is going. Secondly, thank goodness for that.

Graham going? Tuigamala is going and can't catch a ball anyway.

We have no depth and it possibly cost us one grand final already.

We are one metre eating front rower short.. A player in the Weyman mould is what we need but they are hard to find.. Kennedy, Masoe and JWH are all good prospects but very raw and don't have the ability to be effective for long periods of time and on a weekly basis.. Ryles will be a year older.. The front row is our achilles heel.

We should be able to get more out of Kennedy next season. He looks to be a very good prop prospect.

It's obvious that we have alot of good young talent. What I think is most important is leadership. Our young kids can't rest on their laurels and be happy with what they have achieved.

While we came so close to winning, the thing is we have so much more improvement it's not funny. If the younger boys are willing to come back and work harder and improve we can go one better next year.

Don't underestimate the ability of Carney and Naughton. The raiders had huge opinions of these two. If Carney can overcome his injury, he will be better than Graham was.

Either Kennedy or Masoe need to step up and play more minutes. They are our big metre players. One needs to be on the field at all times.

Carney sucked ass on the wing for Canberra. Had some good games at centre but we have a zillion centres that do ok on the wing. Need one going the other way, a specialist winger who can play centre in a pinch.

He's a hooker from the Cowboys, goes alright.

I don't think Carney has ever played a game at centre for the Raiders in the NRL. Played a few in the centres in 20's but was used primarily as a winger and had plenty of decent games for them in tha position.

One thing is for sure - JCarney and Watts will be in the FG team. Players are signed with the intent on them playing first grade. You don't sign players purely for depth any more.

                                Conn will also be there.

I don't see a problem with front row, considering there is a lot of improvement in Masoe, Kennedy and JWH - plus Ryles. Maybe pickup a bargain price journeyman. Myles could also end up back in the front row, but I hope FPN days in the front row are over - he is much better value out wider.

Some of our backrowers will get pushed out of the club. We have so much talent in the backrow with: Myles, Anasta, Maubs, Conn, FPN, Cherrington, Cordner, Symonds, BJ Leilua. All of those guys will have the intention of playing FG in the backrow next year and whoever ends up in the Jets for a long stint will end up at another club in 2012 if not mid season.
