great squad, i think we have good depth with Masoe, Leilua, Cherro and Symonds all having to work hard for first gradem although everyone works hard for first grade but you know what i mean
i would change one thing from this team and thats Justin Carney out and Phil Graham in, or at least Graham deserves to be ahead of Naughton

Fletch is on the money.

Between Anasta/Maubs/FPN there isnt any workrate in attack. We just can't afford having them all on the field at the same time.

Symonds and Cherrington will have a hard time cracking grade if there aren't any injuries.

We have good impact forwards and not enough workers. Conn has a great heart but is a tad small as a prop.

That Tasi bloke, based on his workrate in NYC seems like a good prospect for a bench position.

I wouldn't mind seeing Brian do something about the back 3 of the scrum, MAubs and Braith stand too wide and don't do enough of the hard yards work and Myles is a slogger up the middle......he started the season well but for me he needs to be thrown back into the front row rotation and a more explosive option (Cherrington, FPN, JWH) needs to play right second row pushing MAubs into lock and being our clean up man in the middle of the park.

Linnett and SKD were pretty much useless throughout the finals series as Anasta and MAubs were standing on top of them and giving them little room to do a thing - no more of this please Brian!

A small article in the SMH just before gameday mentioned that Graham is now reconsidering, and wants to stay at the club because he is enjoying his time too much with the Roosters. I would love for us to keep him IMO,

For me Kennedy and Masoe need to lift their fitness and get more game time. They are our go forward hombres and one must be on the field at all times otherwise one needs to make room for someone that does play more minutes.

I so desperately want Cherro and Symonds to hit their straps early because they are both potential rep players. I just don't know who they would replace as Myles, Anasta, Maubs, JWH and Conn have all earned their spots. Manly believe Tasi is a bigger loss than JWH so imagine both on the field in their prime. May be one or two years short of that.

I don't think BJ is ready for the pack yet and we have plenty of cover there. He will bulk up in a couple of years. For now I would concentrate on his defensive game for a wing position. Good under the high ball in defense and attack, can defend but has looked lost due to inexperience, can take the ball up strong from a return kick or from dummy half.

FPN always takes half a season to hit his straps. Do they bulk him up and make him a front rower or trim him to play in the backrow? This year he always played best in the back row but we have a surplus.

I wouldn't be surprised if Smithy signs a couple more players. IMO we can do with another front row hombre in case Kennedy or Masoe don't kick on as well as another fast and strong centre/wing.

I don't think so. We'll be tight for salary cap space in the next few years with our youngsters improving and coming off contract. I think our signings thus far have been good and in positions we need them (ie. added a little depth or upgrade from what we had in this season like Watts for Jaubs/Koups).

You'd be surprised what Smithy can do with some cheap buys. We are losing a few from this year, Koups (fingers crossed), Jaubs, Lopini, Graham???, Mason and probably didn't spend much on Watts, JCarney and Tasi. Plus the cap is going up next year to cater for Gaz and 2013 for the new TV deal. We hardly have a team of marquee players. I think we will be ok as far as salary cap goes going forward.
