I would prefer James Graham from St Helens who is apparently looking around for a club in the NRL.

I heard we were circling... He's an absolute machine... One of the top two front rowers in the game in my opinion.

So would I, but having a stab at our limited cap space, I would see a player like Cusack as an insurance policy covering Mose and Kennedy.....much cheaper and there just in case.

            Cusack is 34 years old..

Let's see if Mark Harris will have a run in the centres also..

Wow, just realised i didnt even have FPN. Great depth we have!

Guess he'll be fighting it out with Cherrington?

I agree with all of that. At the moment Linnett is as skinny as a rake, but the some weight training in the off-season he will be pretty hard to contain (he could even develop a fend like Inglis). Also having Aubusson in the middle can create havock for those fat slow defenders and up the middle is where we have been struggling.

                  1. Anthony Minichiello
                  2. Phil Graham/ BJ Leilua
                  3. Kane Linnett
                  4. SKD
                  5. Sam Perrett
                  6. Todd Carney
                  7. Mitchell Pearce
                  8. Jason Ryles
                  9. Jake Friend
                  10. Frank-Paul Nu'uausala
                  11. Nate Myles
                  12. Mitchell Aubusson
                  13. Braith Anasta

                  Interchange:
                  14. Martin Kennedy
                  15. JWH
                  16. Mose Masoe
                  17. Anthony Watts/ BJ Leilua

BJ Leilua has to be in the team somewhere, as does Mose Masoe. Justin Carney was a pointless signing and isn't needed. Sydney Roosters 2011!

I thought Graham was going to Parra

                  shows how much I know

Nuusuala and Hargreaves were very underwhelming this season imo.

The difference between FPN's best and his worst is too great, I don't know how much his injury effected him in the back half of the season but he's no certainty for mine yet I'm surprised he is for some many people on here.

The same goes for Hargreaves, I'm still not convinced that he's a front rower.

I think consistency will come with time. They are both pretty young.

The front row is our achilles heel.
Agree with all of that. I think Kennedy is ready to make the step though, his consistency off the bench was very good this year and in line with his consistency in the 20's.

I just hope the club have him tied up and he's still not off contract as we speak.

Masoe needs to work on his fitness, with those 3 I'm confident but outside of that I get worried... Conn has been solid but he should remain the 4th option prop. Hargreaves & Nuusuaula have been average in the front row and I have no doubts that Myles is now a backrower since he has lost a lot of weight. It is definitely our weak point if injury strikes.

                          5. J.Carney
                          6. T.Carney
                          7. Pearce
                          8. Ryles
                          9. Friend
                          10. Kennedy
                          11. Maubs
                          12. Anasta (c)
                          13. Myles

                          14. Watts
                          15. FPN
                          16. JWH
                          17. Tasi

Depth - Conn, Graham, Kheirallah, Ford, BJ, Mose, Cherrington, Symonds.

                          Okay a few contentions selections;
                          1. J.Carney - I rated him when he was at Canberra. Consistently made 100+ metres every game. Deadly on the kick return and a class finisher. Very strong also. Other options include Graham, Kheirallah and Ford.

                          2. Kennedy - The kid deserves the starting spot as he can lay a platform much better than most. Will ensure we are not belted early. As much as I like JWH and FPN, this is not their strong point. They are much more effective coming off the bench when the game is more open.

                          3. Tasi - This bloke should NOT be used as a battering ram, but rather a hole puncher. He is genuinely class. May push Maubs into the centres.

Its all been said but I genuinely think this is one of the best squads (in terms of depth) assembled in recent memory. But perhaps the most pleasing aspect is not the tremendous mix of youth and experience, but the amount of X factors in the side! They are everywhere!

                          Dynasty anyone?

Watts and carney are wastes. We don't need either of em, their just taking up salary. Cherro, BJ (on the wing) and Mose are all young guys we need to develope and should be in the side.

Anyone know of any other signings in the works?

So you are saying you prefer Koups or Jaubs instead of Watts? If both are released plus losing Brunton then we don't have a backup hooker. I thought it was proven this year that Friend plays better when he comes on after 20 minutes. I think sharing with Watts will improve our attack. Watts is also a decent half come State Of Origin should Pearce and/or Carney be selected. Justin Carney was a very good player before he copped that bad injury. I believe we actually paid good money for him, so there are some confident that he will overcome his injury. If not then he will be a waste. If so, I can see him end up with a permanent spot on the wing and at worst a very decent backup for centre/wing. The guy is built like a brick shithouse and can be as effective as Perrett with dummy half runs and probably better in defense, returning a kick as well as being faster. Not to say he will replace Perrett but just to compare the two.

Watch for Mark Kheirallah or Steve Naughton to occupy that left wing spot if Graham moves on. I don't Smith will use Leilua on the wing anymore, simply because his positioning and decision making on the wing isn't up to scratch which isn't his fault, he has never played wing before. Put him on the bench as he is versatile. We have plenty of depth next year which is good to see.
