  • Draw for 2011 is out

No byes for the Roosters before each origin game - may or may not affect us. 3 trips in a row to NQ, NZ and Melbourne. Usual start against Russels merry men and finish at home to Melbourne.

5 of the first 7 at home and last 11 games all in NSW.

Apologies - I just realised it's already on the forum.

Last eight games in NSW is good, but it also means a lot of travel early doors (GC, Townsville, Melbourne and NZ twice in the first 16 weeks - a plane trip every 3 weeks for the team).

I wonder how many of our requests got accepted?

Well, Anzac Day (as always) was. Also, I think the Roosters must request to play in Melbourne in the week before Origin (has happened in consecutive years) which is a fairly substantive request granted. Two games each against Souths, St George and Wests was probably also a request (including Round 1 vs. Souths and SCG against St George). Probably a few other requests thrown in for one reason or other, but those substantive ones were granted.

Meh it looks a decent draw to me. We have a few tough early games but around the rep season I think we have some easier games.

We play Brisbane, Parra, Cowboys, Canberra, Penrith and Titans once. It's hard to tell who will improve from one season to the next.

I agree. It would have been nice to have one or two easier games to start but I think having a tough draw to begin with can benefit. It means we clear out the cobwebs straight away and we are right into it.

There is no such thing as easy beats - given some of the defeats we had this year

As far as draws goes, it's........ a draw.
If we are good enough, we will win the required amount of games to qualify for finals, if we aren't, we won't

This is an excellent draw, final 3 months of the comp all in Sydney is fantastic prep for a top 4 finals charge

Looks like the Roosters and Knights will clash in Origin round.

Tough game that will be, Braith will get another chance in the 6 jumper haha.

Downside will be that you guys will not have Carney and maybe Pearce and we will not have Gidley and possibly Uate depending on the eligibility change.
