The one thing I don't get, is why our club hasn't come out more strongly about the bad ref decisions we've had to cop all year. Maybe it looks like sour grapes but I'd like to hear an old cement truck comment or something similar. It would be worth giving up the $10k....

Dud calls are one thing, they happen.
Having a foot 1 metre into touch and not having that called up is, well words escape me. This is the pinnacle of the season. Another player pushed in the back without the ball & in front of the touchie and nothing.
I wont even go into the Young "try" or the penalty against Conn. I dont think there was any conspiracy that the Merge had to win but at want point do we call the reffing in that game a pathetic embarrasment and the relegation of Archer, the touchies & video Billy to Toyota Cup. That was not a good look.
I think supporters of any tem would blow up deluxe if they had the types of decisions that were handed to us. These calls made the GF a very one sided event and snuffed out any momentum we could have had. And Smithy wont blow up, he knows he has a team in the comp in 2011.

I am a long way away from being convinced of a conspiracy. I just believe that the game has ****ed around so much with rules and refs that we no longer have a bloke in charge with the whistle. Finch has been beyond incompetent and the NRL need to simplify this whole thing and give control back to one referee.
Until this happens, the game will continue to be a joke with more discussion about refs than footy!

It could be too that certain parts of our administrationare full of shit and can't see bad refereeing if they wanted to.
E.g I was up in QLD recently and saw some Roosters dev teams feed to some super qld rep sides all in the name of seeing how good the QLd players were.
Not such a problem except the referees were the most disgraceful I have ever seen.
Sullivan and his little lackies stood there and smiled, wondered why some people were a lttle upset. The Internet is a place for posting silly things
Try and be serious and you will look stupid

Some people reckon that this thinking is bad sportsmanship. Well lests see, Desy Hasler, Wok Ryan, Warren Smith & Lauries Daley have all voiced that we were duded. Ex players & coaches confirming what most here know. No wonder so many Easts fans are filthy.
What about if those calls had gone against the Merge ? We would be still reading about it in the DT at the very least.
If a team is only as good as its last performance, then the same should apply to the refs. Archer, Hollywood Bill & their touchies off to NYC in 2011 you incompetent hacks.

Exactly what i was thinking last week - Dragons managed to avoid the heat by playing all the Friday night games during the season start, while conversely the Roosters somehow drew all the F*&ken Sunday afternoon games which took its toll when the doggies put 60 points on us.

They will all be his clones with the same arrogance.
My vote is definitely with the garden gnome.
By the way, Saints were gone at half time. Nice of the NRL to give them a 25 minute, yes 25 minute, break.
