Certainly one of the better buys considering we payed out half his contract.
mason did have a good year, to the point he was mentioned again for origin

          That is Mason's game, though.

Ever since he left the Bulldogs, he has only really played well up until Origin season, after that passes by his form seems to have dropped drastically.

Mason 2008 with us (before Origin finished)

11 games, 5 linebreaks, 51 tackle breaks, average 16 runs for 142 metres

Mason 2008 with us (after Origin finished)

9 games, 4 linebreaks, 24 tackle breaks, average 11 runs for 97 metres

Mason 2009 with us (didn't get picked)

20 games, 6 linebreaks, 52 tackle breaks, average 11 runs for 89 metres

His on-field performances are one thing - afterall, his form for us wasn't too bad, either - but what sort of an infuence is he off the field? Wherever he goes there seems to be player-coach disharmony.

Maybe he isn't the reason for it. But it would be a big coincidence.

Well in all fairness, he was generous in bidding, just refused to pay for them afterwards.......

Mason ended up paying for them - because the money was taken from his pay.

James Maloney (Warriors) and Lote Tuqiri (Tigers) were good buys for their clubs. I wouldnt of minded Lote on our wing this year (was almost about to happen )

                              Best: Carney and Burgess

                              Worst: Poore, Cayless and Cuthbertson
