He wasn't sent home. He went home of his own accord after signing for the Melbourne Rugby franchise for next season. It was obviously decided that he wasn't cut out for League which I thought he clearly wasn't. Nice guy though..

Yes mate thats me. I agree Crowe is a tool but do really mean to tell me he is not a great actor? Did you not enjoy Gladiator? The Insider perhaps? Russell Crowe is arguably the greatest actor since Marlon Brando in my humble opinion.

His performances in A Beautiful Mind, Gladiator, The Insider and Body of Lies were great IMO

Well guys I guess it all comes down to personal taste and opinion. I've always thought of Crowe as 1. great actor. 2. ****wit. 3. arrogant sack of shit 4. awful singer. 5. vermin pretender. But I must admit I will eagerly watch any movie he makes. Having said that his recent Robin Hood movie was pretty ordinary IMO.
