    Congrats to Pearce!
But i dont understand how Carney can win player of the year in the NRL? But not best player for Roosters?

Well I think Pearce played better in the finals, maybe that swayed it. But Carney was the best overall.

Great night and very well run. I couldn't believe the buzz in the room from the players, they were chomping at the bit for season 2011 and Smithy's speech was awesome, he sure loves SKD !!

Our Mate Horry made a great speech that for mine summed up the way most of us felt along the ride that was 2010. I hope in future the club asks him or another passionate Rooster to do the same each year as I think the club needs to embrace the fans better going forward.

Fred - I agree, how Carney wasn't the Jack Gibson Medalist is beyond me.....

          Chook.
Hard to deny Braith the award. He's also had a tough year with his mum battling breast cancer throughout the season. Either player would have been a worthy recipient.
