Mario i was just wondering if you or other members could provide some info on what some of the not so obvious awards are for, such as the ones above in bold. Any info would be much appreciated.

            Mario, fyi,
from memory, Chris Sykes was a promising Roosters lower grader in the mid
90's who was diagnosed with leukemia or cancer and sadly passed away.
In his honour the club dedicates the best up 'n' comer junior representative.
Henare Wells from Keebra Park High scored plenty of tries in the SG Ball team this year. This year he also represented his school in Rugby - something Keebra Park have never played before, and surprisingly they won the Australian title. Henare is built like a whippet and has speed to burn .
He should play U20's in 2011 at either fullback or wing.....he's one to watch.

Sorry but that award should have gone to Sammy Perrett. The fact his kid and missus were in hospiatal for a large portion of the year yet Sam still trained and played the way he did is a testiment to his dedication to the club and team.

                    Chook.

Pearce won it two years ago from memory.

Fitzy won it last year - when really Sammy deserved it more.

And how did carney not win it this year?

Whoever choses the winner of this award must be as blind as the referees

                            IMO

carney by streets ahead of Myles then Skd then Pearce

SKD showed major improvement, but aside from his period running a bit injured, Pearcey was far more consistant and influential than Skid.
