NRL are already in damage control after the Storm saga last thing they would want is for any report showing how poorly officiated the two finals (NRL & 4 Nations) were.

Being pro-active has never been a trait of Gallop's reign as CEO.

I would like to see the betting tickets of all those that reckon they know who will win each year....

who else are the NRL riding next year?

or is it just the Titans?
Titans have been getting a free ride from the refs for the last 3 years...they've just choked whenever something big is on the line

          Ask the NRL tezza.

is there a time limit on the free ride?

maybe the NRL will say to the Titans "Right, that's it, our referees have done everything they can to favour you over the last 3 years, and you've made nothing out of it. We need to move onto favouring Penrith and Parramatta, so now you're on your own"

If only there was an East Sydney AFL side coming into the comp - then we'd be looked after...

You've asked this question dipstick and it's been answered.

TOK, if you believe the game is squeaky clean then good for you. Go and tell all your buddies at News Ltd how a pack of Roosters fans are loonies and pat yourself on the back about how you question everything they have to say.

As you will recall, I was leading the charge in my criticism of the treatment of the Storm…or should I say, scapegoating of the Storm…by its owners early this year.

And indeed one of the main reasons for my critical stance was because of hypocrisies from the media conglomerate that owns the club and as of today still owns half the game.

It's still far from clear that the Storm are safe in the long-term…look at what News did to the Perth Reds and Adelaide Rams when it financially suited them to drop them like a cold pie…they dropped them like a cold pie!

The same could happen to the Storm…I wonder if the Independent Commissioners will be far sighted enough to step in and bail out a post-News Limited owned Melbourne franchise.

The Independent Commission can't happen soon enough for rugby league in this country. The fact that it has taken this long is a disgrace.

By the way, now that the Roosters don't score many tries off kicks, are you going to change your profile name?

I recall a thread started some months ago about possible alternatives for you.

When you're talking with blokes at the pub or at work or wherever about League, do you say things like "St George won the comp because the NRL told the referees to cheat and give them favourable treatment over the other teams. It was all part of a deal they made when St George and The Steelers merged. And get this - next season the referees are going to be favouring The Gold Coast, Penrith and Parramatta!"

If you do (which I doubt), 99.9% of serious league followers would regard you as being an idiot

                    I don't say that to insult you - it's just a fact

And do you ask blokes at the pub or whatever that - usually after games in which there has been significant controversy over refereeing decisions, there is a review undertaken and if errors occurred, they are acknowledged.

Why not after the GF? Did everyone just go on holidays?

Or do you do it just to stir shit on a rooster's fan forum?

                      Chook.

no, this is a valid to question to pose

more than conspiracy theories based on an episode of The X Files anyway

or was it The X Factor?
I guess the Foxtel commentary team are all bitter roosters supporters. See sig.

I also counted only one legitimate try in the Four Nations finals including Morris again passing the ball with feet well into touch...I suspect Morris is so white that his legs camouflage well with the touch line.

A bit like WWE, none of this matters as long as the money rolls in.

You'll find that I have made little if any comments about St George and the "favourable" decisions.

Doesn't mean there isn't corruption within a certain organisation.

                            Yes, you know the one.

And thanks for doubting that I could be viewed as an idiot to 99.9% of "serious league followers" (a lot of which are idiots themselves). It means a lot to me.

I seriously ask the question to those that support the game. Those that have friends that support other teams ( probably knowone that sits in the pen). Ask the question to them. Were we robbed in the GF.

Yes we were on some calls. Did it alter the result? No it didn't. Get over it.
