AFTER five years together, the gentleman of the NRL is finally turning Sydney's shoe princess into the queen of the WAGs.
Indeed, Roosters fullback Anthony Minichiello last week got down on bended knee for his long-term love Terry Biviano during a romantic holiday in Mexico.
Fitting perfectly with their image as a style-setting couple (they often arrive at events in outfits that complement each other), Mini asked for The Biv's hand in marriage with a five-carat diamond, suggesting the designer chose her own setting.
"She's very specific," a source told Confidential.
We understand the ring was yesterday in the final stages of completion in the hands of Sydney "bling king" David Nader of Nader Jewellers.
The newly engaged pair have been spotted at the upmarket store numerous times this week, with Minichiello said to have had "a lot" of input into the design of the platinum ring.
"They enjoyed a lovely trip together, partying in LA with friends and then moving down to a very private Mexican resort near [Los] Cabos, which is where he proposed," our source added.
However, their engagement has hardly come as a surprise to friends and family.
As well as our story last month about Minichiello browsing the Tiffany And Co ring counter, the couple have been destined to walk down the aisle since first coming together in 2006, following Biviano's break-up with actor Alex Dimitriades.
Biviano, who is often seen out and about with Mini's mum Therese, bought her man a Harley Davidson for his 30th birthday in May.
Nothing like a motorbike to bring home the "Let's get married already" message.
The couple have sold their story to OK! magazine and the publication will throw them an engagement party in January.
