Graham;after surgery on torn pack muscle will return to proper training in the new year. If all goes well they might be back to full fitness .if there not i doubt smith will risk reinjury and a prolonged recovery during the early season.
Sounds bad, but I suspect is much the same at most clubs.

So only Maubs and Watts won't be available for round 1 at this stage. Is that right?

Guys like Frank will get gametime? What like him and the other internationals?

They are optimistic Carney will be ready for Rd1..

I'd like to see Tom Symonds come in before Cherro...Let Cherro earn his spot by performing on the park..

                    Our backrow depth is great..

I know this is not popular here..but, I don't see Tom Symonds as a first-grade NRL player...

Anything in particular about his game you don't see as being up to it?..

My only worry with him was his size, but he has stacked a bit of beef on,so that will help him..

Plus i like his versatitlity..He could fill in at lock,5/8th & centre..Good bench material..

Preseason will tell all, it'll be very interesting to see who has matured and gone to the next level!

Guys I am hoping who can do that are Masoe and Cherrington. Masoe provides the size and aggression our pack needs and Cherrington the creativity. I also hope BJ gets plenty of game time.. I think he is our most exciting prospect at the club. I just don't want him playing on the Wing.

Somehow, although it has its disadvantages, MAubs injury might not be such a bad thing. It was always going to be hard to fit him in (would have had to have been at the expense of our go forward, or our speed out wide). Obviously, he has to be in the team - he is too good a player not to be. However, the trials and the first few weeks will give Brian a good luck at guys pushing for spots, like Cherrington, JCarney etc., to see where MAubs is going to play.
