Even our big men like Mose and JWH are looking fit!!!

What kind of training was Carney doing?

AWESOME photo's!!! I reckon JT is a good coach, just Souffs are a shit team... not many blokes know kicking as well as him. His SMH predictions/analysis' last season were awesome too. Betcha we hammer it this season!!!!

BIG season ahead of us!!! Can't wait to see us smash the Dragons... it has been a few years now!

anyway as far as relating this to rugby league, more specifically to the winger position, acceleration and speed are the most crucial pieces (when speaking about athletic ability).

Carney has a powerful build, which allows him to run closer to the ground and have better balance, any increase in acceleration will see him become a monster. Shedding the fat will make that happen.
Yeah also a lower centre of gravity helps. As a kid I was fast (made nationals) and about 90kg, but big guys with big guts, and nuggety little guys were bloody difficult to tackle no matter how fast I was running coz they had gravity on their side (I was also a crap tackler who made it nowhere with footy... but we will ignore that for the minute while I pretend to be a pundit.)

Another thing is grappling... this isn't union!! In a union tackle you go one on one, grab them low and fast (gravity + speed on your side)... little guys like Gregan and Genia have a habit of flattening 120kg props when they are standing still. Guys that size simply don't make it in league... is Isaac Luke pretty wellthe smallest league player? I dunno... hookers aren't hookers anymore so they are pretty big nowadays.

THIS IS LEAGUE!! You go in with 3 blokes, hit high (losing the advantage of lower centre of gravity IMMEDIATELY) and use a combination of wrestling techniques, weight and numbers to force them back. It's more difficult to lift a 120kg bloke up and drop him inside touch than it is to do with an 80-90kg bloke. For this reason league players are on the whole heavier than union players (barring props who are just fat carnts in yawnion.)

Tom Symonds has filled out. Was disappointing he got injured in the first round last year.

He looked like he was in for a big year. Was never the same player after he returned.

How much stuff is Graham able to do? If he is doing less upper body and contact work with the pec injury he will be like lightning from all the extra running once he is able to get on the field.

No, people actually thought they worked !!!! i got into a ripper of an argument on a friends facebook status, i called the powerbands a sham, another friend of my friend, went off the handle because she believed it made her stronger...she was apparently right because she had done the "scientific" tests !

I was glad to post the article proving they were a sham !
