  • Another injury - Aidan Guerra

I don't think this has been bought up yet so:

It was three weeks before Christmas that Roosters youngster Aidan Guerra continued a terrible run of injuries that has so far put a halt on a promising career.

Recovering from off-season shoulder surgery, Guerra was doing some light running around the training ground when sharp shin pains forced a trip to the ever familiar medical rooms.

Shin splints where soon identified as the problem once again, putting a hold on the Townsville products career.

“It’s just really frustrating to have another setback and especially in this case because the medical staff are not sure what is causing this latest problem,” he said.

“They think it could be caused by my calves but I’m having a scan on Thursday and we should know what’s going on then.”

Guerra is currently only training every second day with minimum contact.

The Queenslander has nearly racked up more operations than he has first grade games, having endured six operations for nine NRL matches.

Despite the continued bad luck Guerra is confident he can return to the blistering form he displayed last season when he scored three tries in the first nine matches, before again succumbing to injury.

“I think I showed my potential last year I just need to shake off this latest problem and get back to where I was,” he said.

“There are so many good back rowers in the club now so I am looking forward to the challenge of getting myself back in to the team.”

Depending on the latest scans Club doctors are hopeful Guerra will be available for selection after the early rounds.

I'm not liking all the injuries that are happening so early in the year.

Yes, too many injuries so far and Guerra seems plagued by them which is seemingly a continuation of what happened at the drizzle.
