Naughton! I'd shift Mini to the wing and give Naughton a shot at fullback. It's early days and might seem a rash decision, but we need to figure out whether we need to be on the market for a fullback sooner rather than later. We don't want to be struggling for a couple of years finding a good fullback, when we have the makings of a cracking side coming through. I'd go:

2. Mini
3. Aubusson
4. SKD
5. Carney

Leilua needs to get his hands on the ball far more, and while doing an admirable job on the wing, blind Freddy can see he isn't a natural winger and will eventually end up in the centres or second row.

Ford apparently trained really well in the pre-season and I think played some trial games at fullback, plus he played a couple of games of 1st grade last season. On Leilua, why would you move him to the bench to play 2nd row when you have a real 2nd rower in maubs playing in the centres? Doesn't it make more sense to move maubs into the 2nd row and leilua to the centres?

So what. Anyone can turn up to training and work hard, the trials mean nothing and plenty of players have played a couple of games of first grade. None of those are good reasons to have him ahead of a clearly more talented player.

Balance for the pack. We need an extra out and out forward while Anasta is in the pack.

Is it me or does leilua remind you of the old skd on the wing. Shows signs of brilliance but error rate is high, most games. I say move him to the centre's. And either naughton or wait for perrett for the wing?

Kevin Locke would make a good replacement - hohaia is clearys bum boy and locke is not a winger but a fullback who would thrive in open space ........... well id prefer locke than ford
