the thing that concerns me is that there have been a couple of opportunities particularly in 09 and even last year where mini did not play and towers who performed well in both seasons in the lower grades and therefore could easily have been given a game but didnt. Not sure whether this is a matter of him being deemed not ready or not capable but i think he has as much potential as any one else
Yeah but i remember reading somewhere that Smithy wanted him to get bigger before his debut. I guess Smith thinks his to small?
Hopefully he got abit bigger in France But then again, he might not perform as good if he puts on abit of weight?
You guys would be crazy not to resign Braith IMO. I don't think you would of made the GF without him, the leadership he offers and the other stuff off the ball he does is what you want from a good leader.
I would be cheering if the Knights picked him up, he is the exact type of 5/8th we are after.
I just thought him becasue this - Should it be Shaun Kenny-Dowall, Kane Linnett, Marty Kennedy, Frank-Paul Nuuausala, BJ Leilua, Mose Masoe, Anthony Minichiello ... how many are you prepared to cut to keep 29-year-old Anasta on $450,000 a year, or a bit less if he's prepared to take a pay cut? http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/nr...-1225993863940

Braith is NOT a five-eight.
Lacks speed and rarely breaks the line.
Good ball player after the line not before.
In summary, his leadership & experience qualities are hard to replace but we have quite a few good backrowers to fill the void. Someone will be earmarked to be our next leader.

He lacks pace but he does have a great step and dummy, when he uses it he generally breaks the line. I think his kicking game is very underrated, I cant believe it dosent get utilised more often. His ball playing is patchy but he can throw good short balls for angle runners and hole runners like Aubbuson. At the roosters he wont be playing 6 but if he was ever at Newy he would, to have an experienced partner beside Mullen.
Spot on BM, don't be surprised if ryles is kept for 1 more season............unless we sign an experienced prop from somewhere

At a football club, there’s a holy trinity – the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don’t come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques.

The fireworks at the Easter show are making more noise than the crowd tonight
Before last season we had little hope for players like Kennedy, FPN, Masoe, SKD etc.
This time next year we will be talking about new players I'm sure. If we need to keep Ryles then our recruitment staff haven't done their job in my opinion.
Ryles is solid but one of our biggest weaknesses is go forward. He isn't going to improve the situation.
