While he wasn't the untackleable pinball he was in his younger days, he is still quite solid at the back and he has developed a passing game that was previously unseen, allowing him to create opportunities for others. His back-up and support play putting himself in good positions to score remains great.

He is a fitness freak so if he gets a good injury run there's no reason why he couldn't continue to provide plenty for a couple more years. With Anasta's future still up in the air too it makes sense to keep some experience around to guide through the younger players both on and off-field.
Mini's passing game is still up the shit.. He has always thrown the odd pearler but in general it is horrible.. He was good last year but I would like to wait and see a few months before offering him an extension.. Remember he is still one back injury from retirement and players can deteriorate quite quickly at the back end of their careers.

Mini at 50% is 100% better than Perrett at 100%.

Mini is an absolute Rooster legend, Perrett well he's a nice guy who happens to be an average first grader. The two are chalk and cheese.

I'll shed a tear when Mini plays his last game for the club (hopefully in the 2012 Grand Final), as for Perrett he continually makes me shed tears with his stupid mistakes year in year out.

Don't forget his catching game too! So many passes went to ground. Granted a lot were hard to take but there were some that were delivered on a silver platter.

Why all the shots at Perret?

Am i the only one who think he was great last year and made a Ton of metres out of dummy half which got our Offence rolling. His a good player Sam why all the negative shots at him?

I agree mate. Particularly towards the back end of the season Sammy did a great job.

I hope he can handle another two seasons. Would be a shame for him to go one season too long. Not sure why Perrett is copping it? He has been a loyal servant to the club and does a good job for us. Especially with his work out of dummy half.

Awesome player mate, for some reason there's still a few that can't see it though. His role for the team is invaluable.

2011 - I'd say Pez is a better fullback than Mini. In his prime Mini was untouchable but now is a shadow of his former self. Perrett is safe as houses at the back (apart from one or two blunders) and would be a good choice for fullback when Mini hangs up the boots

Im sure MINI will be better for the run at fullback at the back end of the season, we will see more of the golden boot mini in 2011[ 2010 ! he's just gettin warmed up] the extension of contract is based on the 2010 season end and the preseason, I hope Mini's got a surprise for us all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Perrett is an excellent dummy half runner and great club man.

Not sure if the word "safe" is best used to describe his attributes.

Yes Perrett does make the odd clanger - but so did/does Mini. Atm Perrett would prob make more metres/tackle busts than Mini. Mini was ordinary when he initially moved to fullback - the hands, the positioning,...
