  • Loved hearing Pearce say this...

"I've also been working on my ability to run at the line and keep the defenders second guessing. So I have put a lot of energy in to my efforts running with the ball and hopefully it pays off during the season."

So does this mean we won't be relying on tries off kicks?

In all seriousness it is good to hear though, Todd can not and will not ne able to be a one man show this year, he will be a matked man

What's different though. Pearce already does that but imo can place his man under a lot of pressure a lot of the time. There is often a lot of predictability in that part of his game so i guess it's good that he's developing it further

Yeh agreed, his running game this year was adequate. There were a few games though where it just called for his big right foot step to straighten up the play. We can be guilty of playing with too much sideways movement imo, when Pearce is at his best he's playing direct and as a result the team are playing much better.

Good support player too, goes largely unnoticed.

From what Im hearing Pearce will have to do a lot of running for Carney.

I drove past when they were training so I pulled over for a few minutes. Carney was out there and looking pretty sharp.

Vasco, did you notice Conn out on the training paddock, trying to work out how bad the injury he suffered at training is.

Mate to be honest the only bloke I was really looking for was Carney. There were plenty of blokes with ink all over them!

One thing I did notice was the size of Tom Symonds. He is a big boy these days.

This may be a tactic to confuse the opposition since Carney will be so heavily marked.
