Phantom, SKD is one player the english super league clubs would be eying off I just hope we can put a deal together to keep him at the Roosters, i'm very surprised at some of the others that we have signed earlier this offseason before we have got SKD under contract.

no doubt we will be getting very close to the cap limit for 2012 already, just hope we don't lose the likes of Leilua/Linnett because we overpayed for the likes of FPN/Braith.

all I know is Shaun does not want to go anywhere, but at the end of the day he is a young man with the world at his feet and if the Roosters dont sign him up sooner rather than later, he could very well go elsewhere......because he has to look after his future first and foremost......

great news to be signing skd for long term, his best is yet to come and i would put him in front of alot of other "exciting" players ie jennings, morris, idris.
And imo he had a far more consistant year last year then any centre running around.... Great news

THE BULLDOGS have started planning for life after Jamal Idris by circling off-contract centres Chris Lawrence and Shaun Kenny-Dowall.

The Sunday Telegraph can reveal that the Canterbury Bulldogs have sounded out Lawrence and will make a $350,000 play for the Test centre should Idris take up a $1 million offer to join the Nathan Tinkler-backed Knights.

The Belmore-based club has also expressed interest in Kenny-Dowall, who has five clubs trying to snatch him away from the Roosters.

With the season kick-off just 12 days away, the game's hottest off-contract players are worth a combined $4.5 million.

I know it's the Tellucrap, but interesting to read they estimate SKD's worth at 400k...... I don't think he is worth that much personally, and if that's what he's asking, i wouldn't begrudge Easts for saying no!
He has to remember that we stuck by him the last couple of years even though he was pretty average! I'd like to see how he goes this year anyway....1 decent year doesn't make a good player!

Something big is in the works....
usually when I speak with Shaun he is extremely open and forthright.....so far, he has never held back when I ask him a question, even often telling me me more than I asked in the first place, but this is different....

Just last night I asked him how he is going on the contract front, and he keeps avoiding the question.....He has told me he will not lie to me, so if its something he can not speak about for various reasons, he would rather not answer....

I am very confident that he will be a Chook for a very long time in the very near future......And I know there is nothing he wants more.....

Current NZ & new Parra coach desperately wants SKD for 2012.
Shaun must be having some sleepless nights. Does he remain loyal or does he accept the good money ($400K) on offer??

All he said to me last time I asked was he is still negotiating, and that he really wants to stay here....

Sorry i dont have any more than that, but he is being pretty reserved about it at the moment....
