Funny how trouble seems to find him though. What are the chances of the RBT to be in that position on the morning he decides to drive over the allowable limit for a p-plater.

As far as him drinking, well it appears to be part of his make up. The club probably cuts him slack in the off season in order to ease the pressure on him being able to meet the expectations of being Mother Teresa during the season.

      Dumb? Yes. Criminal? hardly!!
He's done nothing wrong, how many young guys in Australia drink? and how many have drank above the legal limit " all of them". He didn't drink during the league season, Ibet he'll do the same thing next year. without Carney playing for us we would'nt have made the top twelve last year and would struggle to make the top eight this year. At the hour of his arrest it seems likely He'd be unaware of slight intoxication He's not a criminal (as some here suggest) get off his back, there are enough critics out there already without us putting the boot in.

          • Stuff the cab, if he had a meeting with his manager he should have been there to pick him up.

These blokes are getting their 10% for not much, I reckon they should be at their clients beck & call.

This could be the incident needed again to focus him for the new season........

personally, he shouldn;t need to be read the riot act by the coach each time he screws up, self control is what is needed.
And that is obviously the one thing he lacks......

Fark me this kid is a dickhead....the world at his feet.....time to grow up Toddles......whether you want to or not......

He was pulled over, breath tested and vlew 0.062, cops let him go with a warning.
Oh well your father MUST be a liar. I mean he MUST be.....

I wonder how many people here place the same sort of scrutiny on the their own lives as they do on players? I can guarantee that 99% of people on here that enjoy a drink and have a license have been over the limit the next morning when they jump in their car.

He broke the law, he will be punished by the law and that is it. Move on....

                • surprised to see that Carney's first reaction to his arrest yesterday was to quit the game, could be an indication there are some more deep seeded problems there.

Do you mean quit the game - the foundation cup or quit the game of rugby league all together.

if you meant the Foundation cup, he was never selected.

If it was quit league, he needs to stop jumping to conclusions and really clear his head.

                    • quit league all together, had to be calmed down by Riolo, his mum, Roosters management yesterday morning, clearly not in the best headspace at the moment.

                      • Punish him, let him make up for it and get square with the house and move on. That's all that needs to happen. If he was so cut up about it he wanted to quit then it is obvious he has turned the corner and was just unlucky. I'll be the first to put my hand up and say I overreacted.

Yeah he definately needs to clear that head, he probably think everything is against him, he did what he thought was right, go out, go to sleep, wake up thinking he would have been fine. the all of a sudden he is picked up by the cops.

I guess what we can do is support him as much as possible......i mean regardless of all the calls to cut him, we all know, deep down, we need him, we need him BAD !

I reckon that's nothing more than a ploy to try and make people feel sorry for him.
