Mack why would you consider Anasta over Symonds and Ryles over anyone after 2012. Both will be pretty much ready to retire compared to the other younger and quite capable options?
Gotta agree with you Buddy....anasta over symonds???? Tommys a dead set legend and was very happy to read we had resigned him just the other day. Ryles is getting on a bit....we've got so many young forwards, keep Conn and let Myles, Ryles and Riddell go

I don't get the hype around Conn, he's proven himself to be nothing more than a bench player. Hasn't shown the workrate to take over from Myles...

Conn is a great defensive player, and so compliments the likes of Anasta, Symonds, M Aubs, FPN as wide ball runners.

Agree, keep him on about $150k less than he's getting now, if he's willing to accept? Titans likely to offer Nate good coin and a longer term. They have an older playing roster, some retiring over the next few years, some 2012 exits already announced such as Laffranci, Friend and Meyers. Bailey can't keep going forever. Thats 4 forwards going. GC have announced no Boyd so that opens it up for Nate to take a long term deal there play out his NRL career.

Dugan was out tonight with an infected boil. What the hell is that about? I don't want him anywhere near the Roosters. It's pretty clear this guy has some serious mental issues with injuries. The getting up and having facials like you have snapped your leg? The magical nerve damage that no one can seem to find? Coming back on your own accord, with your invisible nerve damage magically cured, because Ricky said you needed to play City Country to be in with a shot for Origin? Thanks but no thanks.

nice snap shot of players off contract/told to move on/negotiating with other clubs. if myles leaves id like us to have a good look at houston or waterhouse as his replacement.

if ryles retires (which is probably ideal) i think we need a relatively experienced prop to replace him so poore or gibbs would be a good acquisition.

                    This part is interesting

Veteran prop Jason Ryles has a one-year option that's triggered by playing a certain amount of games, but don't expect coach Brian Smith to become embroiled in another Kirk Reynoldson stand-off. He and Ryles are extremely close.
i wonder how many games ryles must play????

We should be looking at Liam Fulton imho

not fulton, we have maubs and symonds who are very similar sorts of players in terms of build and style of play in the forward. fulton, maubs, symonds starting backrow is so unbelievbly small and where will the go forward come from? thats why the maubs, symonds, myles backrow works because myles does the grafting and provides the go forward. as i said, houston and waterhouse would be the best 2 to fill the myles void if he leaves because they would give us the size and go forward and leadership

The backrow you mention really lacks workrate in defence and attack. Myles does his job when he applies himself but Maubs and Symonds don't do much tackling or hitups for the minutes they play. Fulton imho has those two covered at this stage of there careers.

exactly you just proved my point. if you have fulton, maubs and symonds the backrow would lake go forward, size and genuine workers. so that would mean that if we were to sign fulton we should get rid of either maubs or symonds which seems pointless. that or you are suggesting that we keep myles and play fulton in the backrow instead of either maubs or symonds which again would be unneccessary considering the depth we have in our backrow through all grades and would ultimately mean either maubs or symonds would need to be released. unneccessary signing. gibbs to replace ryles i wouldnt mind. gibbs or poore would be ideal imo to replace ryles

Roz I never said I'd have Fulton,Maubs and Symonds as my backrow. They would all be in my 17 on most occasions but not on the field at the same time. I'd more go with something like Myles, Fulton and Maubs.
