good luck to Willie. I don't think he was going to get much of a chance with us. From memory he only played twice in first grade this year. The first match in the forwards he looked great but in the second match he was in the centre as was very ordinary. The guy definitely has potential.

Was never going to crack a permanent first grade spot, especially with 'the other dozen backrowers' on our books.
Will remember Willie more for turning up to B Gunn's place with Sammy than his footy skills. Seems like a nice guy.

You're both right, Willie didn't and won't have much of a chance to crack FG at the Roosters so I can understand his taking the opportunity to go to the Eels. I also, will remember him fondly for turning up to Billy Gunn's home with Sam Perrett.

Can't keep them all but explain the logic in signing Blackman from the Eels NYC only to lose Blair to the Eels. Same types of player no?

not particularly surprising but disappointing. i thought he was a real shot at securing a spot on the wing for us going forward but moga and tagive are probably better prospects. good luck to him
