I thought the Roosters had signed a winger/centre/fullback from the Eels but it seems I'm confusing Blackman with someone else.
      Daniel Tupou perhaps.

At the moment, next year our team looks like:

        Top 17:

        Minichiello (2012)
        Perrett (2012)
        Kenny-Dowall (2015)
        Leilua (2012)
        Tagive (2013)
        Anasta (2012)
        Pearce (2013)
        Ryles (2012)
        Friend (2012)
        Kennedy (2014)
        Guerra (2012)
        Aubusson (2013)
        Nuuausala (2013)

        Mitchell (2012)
        Tasi (????)
        Masoe (????)
        Hargreaves (2012)

        Reserves:

        Carney (outside back - 2012)
        Takairangi (back row - 2013)
        Symonds (back row - 2014)
        Arona (back row - 2012)
        Cherrington (back row - 2012)
        Cordner (back row - 2012)

        Signings:

Blackman from Eels NYC (hooker - 2013)
Ailomai from Knights NYC (front row - 2013)
Bosden from Dragons NSW Cup (back row - 2013)
Henry from Warriors NYC (outside back - ????)
Tupou from Eels NYC (outside back - ????)

From all accounts, front row Kane Evans is moving into the NRL squad too, while Ethan Lowe, Alofa Alofa and Glenn Dumbrell will all be contracted to Newtown much like Isaac Maliota did this year.

That's the one Gman, well done.
I've been told that the Eels NYC team wasn't much chop this year so I hope Daniel proves the exception.

'D9' is set for a massive year. Can't wait to see our pigs go head to head against other packs.

THIS WAS AN INTERESTING PIECE OF INFO OUT OF THE ARTICLE. HAVE OUR OFFICIALS DISCOVERED THE DOWNSIDE OF
                          HAVING A LEADERSHIP GROUP PERHAPS???

"It's a bit of a different dynamic at the club this pre-season - we only have three blokes over 25 and the average age in the team is 23.

"We don't have a leadership group or anything like that, so if Smithy (coach Brian Smith) wants me to take on extra responsibilities I'm happy to."

Yes, Gman. I thought that bit was strange, also.Especially when a big deal was made of it last year re the Carney/Leadership group was played so hard.

Maybe the senior players like Braith, Mini and Sam decided they didn't want to be part of a leadership group this year after the flack and criticism they received from some quarters after the decisions they made for the good of the team as a whole last year. And you can't blame them for that either.

You don't need a specified leadership group to have leaders at a club. And those leaders can come from some of the younger and inexperienced players in your squad. Marty Kennedy is a prime example of that.

                                Agree NC.
This leadership group concept was borne from AFL i think. I've never liked it because it can divide the playing group. The younger
"inexperienced" players tend to feel left out or excluded or they unfairly cop the brunt of criticism or blame.
