Forget the "local bondi boy" bullshit please. It should have no bearing on whether we re-sign him or not other than making him cheaper for us. Blake Asheford that plays for the tigers is supposedly a "local bondi boy" yet we let him slip through.
Re-sign the kid because he's good (which he is) not because of where he lives or we'll end up like souffs with a bunch of overpaid useless nuffies that live locally.
Chook.

Tom
There is no doubt the man has talent, but he also has a bad record of being able to stay on the field, if he can have a good season without being out too often, then I say dont let him go, but an injury prone player, just eats into your salary cap, for very little return, he needs a good season, injury free.
Regards......Burnt Rooster.

My opinion:
Re-sign Symonds and Ryles both for one year beyond this season, until the end of 2012.
That way, at the end of 2012, when Braith passes the age of 30 and might possibly be considering moving to England, we can make a choice between him and Symonds for that left fringe widerunning backrower slot. Also, Ryles should stick around for one more season with big boppers Kennedy, Masoe and Hargreaves, just until one of Tasi, Conn or Arona really stand up as that 4th prop option looking towards the future.

I am sure Tom is a priority but he just isn't the type to go out to the papers saying "the roosters don't want me but I want to be a rooster for life".

Our club represents the eastern suburbs and clubs like Bondi United have produced some good footballers over the years.
It is important that we promote these players.
Blake Ayshford, like Cherrington, played for the Paddington Tigers, who play in the combined Souffs/Balmain competition. Yes, a joke considering Paddington is the eastern suburbs. This is another argument however.Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.
