We need to get off our defensive line too.....We stood back and waited for them, and they rolled through us all day, and they were a reserve grade side at best!

This part i wanted to point out greedy, At the start of the game, for the breif 2 minutes when it was still nil all, we were actually getting up off our line, sepecially just before they scored, it appears that after doing that and getting scored against, they regressed to holding back.

I think they got over awed by the manly team, they were not expecting what was thrown at them.

A few more things.....

People have been critical of Anasta's workrate (i'm guilty of this too sometimes) but the bloke tackled everything today, and some important ones at that!
Pearce let his best mate get under his skin, and went VERY quiet after that bellringer Foran give him!..... I thought he was tougher than that!
Carney was quiet but i can't expect much from a bloke who hasn't played since last year!
Linnett is no superstar but is very safe and makes good decisions....he's got to stay!
The back 3 have to cut out that long passing shit on the kick returns because None of them can throw a decent ball!
I thought there were a few players who deserved to be hooked before SKD aswell!.......Myles, Kennedy and Perret spring to mind!
And Riddell can fark off to the Jets!

I think Kennedy has been playing great football the last two weeks. Gets over the advantage line and always puts his hand up. A pretty safe defender.

JWH and Mose look great because they are impact props. They come on fresh and run at a tiring opposition. When you add their size into the equation it is no surprise they steamroll the opposition.

Starting the game as a prop is much harder than coming off the bench. Kennedy and Ryles are fine.

The tackling and marker rules have changed so every thing is slower and give the defence an advantage to set them selves .
We based our game last year on flair and attack - quick play the balls etc .Smithy said earlier this year that they have concentrated in defence and stepping it up a peg this year .Yet to see that happen on the field
