yesterday was a return to the dark days of a couple of years ago

our brilliant run last season notwithstanding, this team still has a long way to go

Players who must get more game time - Masoe, Symonds, J Carney, FPN, Conn

Players who must get less - Ryles, Anasta, Perrett, Minchiello

Mini is a big call. I am happy with how he is going. He just needs to back off trying to play 5/8.

Our young forwards need to step up for Ryles to back off a bit and put in more quality minutes. Kennedy, Masoe and JWH need to get more game time but I think they lack that fitness to play longer. Ryles still has a lot to offer our young forward pack.

I will take Piggy is implied as playing less time

i honestly think that mini played quite well yesterday. some of his runs from the back were like watching him from yester year. i agree he needs to stop trying to ball play and do what he is good at - sniff around the ruck looking for an offload or little kick mind you his pass to aubusson before SKD scored our second try was a pearler

Mini was ok yesterday and last week, but my god he is a shadow of his former self. Offers very little from the back in terms of attack. All I hope for now is for no errors and for him not to get rag-dolled every time he brings it back

I hear that a lot - Ryles helping the younger forwards etc etc blah blah

I'd like to see him help them by doing something on the field

Masoe is twice the prop he is

And if we end up sitting Symonds on the bench or at Newtown all year to save a spot for Braith, they are kidding

Good to see TOK back in fine spirits after a loss.

was expecting another banal defence of Anasta from you

maybe even you're out of lame excuses now

              I doubt it though...

To be fair, I agree with his comments on Minichiello, Anasta, Ryles and Symonds.

I find it funny how some people are looking at extending Ryles' contract.

                LOL

We are in trouble if we need him beyond 2011.

Symonds should be in the 17. Drop Riddell ffs. If there ever was a player that was more talk than action, he is it!

Sorry? Disagreeing with opinions on Anasta doesn't make me his defendant.

Seriously though it's good to see you on here after a loss considering your absence after our win last week and comments on it (or lack of) wasn't noticeable. Some may still be fooled.

I would of signed Ryles based on last season he does seem to be struggling a lot more this year but 2 games and you've already decided he shouldn't be re-signed? I'll save my judgement until at least mid-year. It's not like Hargreaves or Kennedy have impressed with starting and as soon as Masoe hits 30 minutes he becomes a liability. Not exactly filled with confidence by our backs ups at the moment.

Ryles took a couple of months to hit his straps last year.

Vasco you should know that the older a horse gets it takes them longer to reach their peak

Based on 2 games? the second of which he became a liability as he was injured.

Based on the first game & Foundation Cup. I had wiped the slate clean given his new slim image but just before half time he made an error and just after we scored our first try in the second half (minutes before he came off) he made another error. His defence late in his stint in the Foundation cup was pretty poor too, missed an easy tackle under the posts to let them in.

It's not so much a criticism as such because of the immense work he gets through in the time he's on the field but he's just not suited to starting so early in his career week in week out. I'd consider starting him against the bigger packs but every other game he's pretty much performed his role perfectly for us in the opening rounds. 30-35 minutes seems about right.

Ryles had his good comeback campaign as a 7 year old gelding.

                            Time to retire.

hmm, backing away from Braith now - good to see

                                but not before time

and I was certainly here after last weekend

but still you persist with your typical, moronically ingrained response when you have nothing

                                "you're not a Roosters supporter"

you have no-one fooled as to your stupidity

actually, you probably do still have a couple fooled
