I wonder if Justin Carney can throw a good pass? His size, small stature and speed would make him a weapon around the ruck. Just thinking out loud...

Read again. Train someone up for it. Stanley did a better than amateurish job yesterday and he is a gun centre. First time I can remember him taking on the dummy half role. When he took the role the Dragons put on their 10 points.

If you are a Piggy fan well and good.
I would say reading most of the threads that there are plenty who think he offers <<<<<<<<<<< 0.
I tend to take a liking to the unliked fringe first graders, your Phil Graham's, Brett Grose's and Jordan Tansey's.

Until anyone else can show that they can consistently provide good ball from dummy half, I think he should remain there. Then again I, like all the others on this forum have no idea how all the players perform at training regarding ball skills, fitness etc, so there is no point really arguing about it. I will agree that I would like to see Symonds in the team, but replacing my precious Piggy Riddell, definitely not.

You need to start thinking with your mind and not your stomach

If I remember correctly, the Faiders originally bought J Carney as a hooker.

Soon they worked out that he did not have the skill or talent to be a hooker, so they groomed him for the backline.

So I'd say he will always be a back, and eventually take over the role of Perritt, a quicker version and built like a mini truck.

If Jake is injured, or does something stupid off-field, and Watts still injured, Jr Jr to hooker - Symonds 5/8 - Carney 1/2 back.

Piggy starts the game, off after 20 min, Jr Jr moves to hooker, Symonds into 2nd row.

Probably won't happen, but just a thought.

I thought he was a lock originally and then they moved him to hooker before realizing he was perfect for the wing? I knew he wasn't a winger/centre originally but I can't seem to find the article.

If Jake were injured.... Oh how I wish we kept Ben Jones...

No. But he was versatile enough to fill in at hooker and he would have being very handy to have around right about now.

There was a UK super league game, I think last week on channel 9 around midnight.

Koups was in the 2nd row, and looked EVEN WORSE than when he was with us. Absolutely shocking.

Fark Me Drunk. Lol. Commentators called him an "Nrl star"

Obviously you switched it off before he could show you his famous left foot step that made him a 2 game stalwart for the greek national side.

For all those who miss him, here are some of his finest moments in the NRL.
