I said in another post, put him back into fullback. That'll sort him out.

I didn't mind him being on tonight, it was Saturday night that shat me. He was playing the next freakin' day!

After Cronulla's great performance to-night, I wonder what they would have done to us yesterday if we had played them instead of Manly.

Unfortunately, that's the only real highlight he has delivered in 5 years.

Unless you count numerous kick offs out on the full as highlights because there's been a tonne of them.

5 runs in 80 minutes of footy is pathetic. Myles does more runs in the toilet in 1 day than that.

Yeah, talking on the TV is a pretty strenuous activity to be doing before the footy. In your opinion what should he be doing on Saturday night? Coogee Bay maybe...

Well I like to think his profession is a Rugby League Player and his mind is on the job, especially the night/day before a game and not out commentating some other ****tards game.

You're right though. It's my opinion. As sarcasm is yours.

And what exactly can he accomplish by having his mind on the job the day before the game that cannot be accomplished by having his mind on the job the day of the game?

Well I specifically said the day/night before because that's the time that he was commentating. If I needed to be more precise for you then, yes, I'd like to see him have his mind on the job on the day as well.

All I'm saying is I don't agree with it. It's my opinion and it's not going to be worth much in the end. Just to me and those who agree.

Yeah but that's what he is there for. All sportsmen/women want the accolades but in general it's all about them. The fans mainly come a long way second. He wanted to win the comp for himself first, you and me, he doesn't care.

The only ones that didn't give up yesterday were the fans. I waited till the 79th minute and then I went to the showers

I thought it was a little bit strange that Anasta was at Leichhardt the day before a game, but to dictate what players can and can't do when they're not 'working' is very harsh.

How would you like it if your boss made sure you were in bed by 9.30 on weeknights so that you had your mind on the job the next day? That clearly wouldn't be appropriate.

Also, many people moan bitterly about footballers having no other interests outside of playing. Anasta is trying to set up a media career post-retirement, thinking of life off the pitch, and people are slating him. He can't win either way.

The oddest think about Anasta commentating the Tigers game was that in a fortnight he will be on the pitch competing against the guys he was interviewing. As for being a distraction, the criticism was a lot quieter before 3.00pm yesterday.

                          Braith - "a true sportsman"

so Braith was one of "the few players that did not give in?"

                          which players did give in?

That was fred's point. Three months of good football in what is now his sixth season with the Roosters.

Brett Finch also kicked a massive field goal for us.

he can commentate as much as he wants and be on tv and radio as much as he wants, but he needs to perform on-field also, if his media activities are in any way affecting his footy, then he should reduce/stop them immediately. I'm not too sure about his but last year, i don't think he did nearly as much media stuff and look at the way he played (probably had the best year of his career) and although we're only 2 rounds in to the season, he really hasn't even shown glimpses of his 2010 form.

I'm all for players planning for the future and life after footy, but if it affects their footy life then they need to do something about it. Correct me if i'm wrong but i don't think most of the ex-players that are in commentating and things like that started to do it while they were still playing (freddy for example).

                              It's all about moderation...
