  • Sam Perret Our Silent Hero

To be honest I am over all the bagging this guy is getting.

He may not be a flashy player who scores a ton of tries, Or does fancy plays. But he is a damn asset to the team.

His a silent hero, He does the little things that impact the game but are never noticed, He makes a ton of metres from dummy half while our forwards are still getting back after a kick, He also is a good cover defender, I have seen him chase down heaps of guys and saving the try. His always got his game face on, He has solid games and its a shame that our fans would attack him like they are, its very disappointing.

And if sam checks out these forums id like you to know that a lot of us know and appreciate what you do.

Playing outside SKD, you can't blame the guy for not running in a plethora of tries.

But you can blame him for the knock ons and fumbles he makes on e regularbasis year in year out ''

I still like Sam though. A good non drinking family man and a role model in the true sense.

The fact he is mormon and can have a wife and several mistresses is an added bonus.

WHAT!?!? "regular basis"? when was the last time he knocked it on?? against manly? against souths? in the finals series?? he's got a pretty safe pari of hands imo. SKD has worse handling than sam, even though he's gotten a lot better in the last 12 months.

Tell me the last time sam knocked it on or fumbled it when he was given a catchable pass??? I'm sick of ppl bagging him out, not only is he a good solid, consistent player, he's also one of the very few players in our club that's as good off-field as he is on-field.

                Sammy goes good.

I remember a few years back it looked like management were tossing up between Sam Perrett and Michael Lett.

I reckon they made the right decision and let Lett go (hehe couldn't help that one)

Speaking of Lett - the guy can't catch a break.

Tore it up for Shellharbour last year - top try-scorer for the season. Good game for the Dragons when called up.

Doing the same for Canterbury this year - yet doesn't look like he will get a go ahead of Tia Kalifi.

Very fast with no problems finding the line.

                        I'm sure he's a lovely bloke.

I'm just sick of him spilling pill.

The guy can play wing and fullback and he has got a safe pair of hands, yes he can do a silly thing or two, but he can gain good yardage and is still in my opinion a great winger, if they do replace him i hope he is as good if not better than him under the high ball.

there are a few guys who make far more errors then Sam, I dont see people calling for there heads....Why? cos they are more flashy and stand out more when they do good things.

This has been brewing for a while.

His Grand Final was particularly terrible.

I will be watching him very closely this weekend.
