I asked FC the exact same question, and the simple answer is, Riddell only has 25 minutes in the first half, and while he was on, Braith did kick quite well.....he missed 2 very difficult kicks.....but Piggy was on the sideline for the remainder of the game.

I do not believe Carney is 100%, he is a shadow of the player we saw last year, and while I dont blame him one bit, he should be starting off the bench....ease him into it......

I don't see how starting Carney on the bench will prove anything.

He needs time out in the middle, not on the bench. If he is fit enough to come off the bench then he is fit enough to start the game.

I thought he played OK yesterday. His off sider didn't give him much help either.

Let's see how Carney goes this Sunday. Hopefully we have a dry surface.

His nickname is Tripod, maybe he is playing on an uneven 3????

Riddell missed 2 kicks in the trials from very kickable positions and he plays for 20 minutes. I heard Justin Carney is a very good goal kicker so maybe he will be given the job next week.
Even a fully fit Carney will occasionally miss, but Braith has the Captaincy on his shoulders and I just thought that if the kicking was shared around until Todd is ready???
Looking forward to seeing Justin Carney. The only thing better than having a Carney in your team is to have two!!

the Pig's goal kicking was very ordinary in the UK super league

kicking goals is the Pig's least worry at the moment.

Off to Jenny Craig with Ingli$, then off to Henson Park

So Carney is either the best player in the comp + able to step everybody, scoring 5 tries a game...
That or he's cr@p and should be dumped ;p

He just looks a bit down on confidence and certainty, some more time with the boys and a bit more fitness so he can get in the play more and start enjoying himself out there and he will be a real handful which we all look forward to

Two things I'd like to see next Sunday.

                    1. Someone shadowing T.C. to protect him in defensive situations.

                    2. Someone standing behind Captain Moneybags to cover tackle when he kicks his obligatory grubber that fouls up and a opposition (Tigers) winger/centre/fullback picks it up to run 90 and score.

                      3. Someone supporting Mose Masoe when he carts the ball up and inevitably gets his arms free (like payne and barba)

Carney is 100% recovered from the groin injury. His problem is mental.

Back on the drink, pending sentencing, it is playing on his mind you can see it in his little Ginger Megs face.

Give the kid a beer, and drive him home.

Doesn't it drive you crazy. Everytime I see him run across field shaping to kick a grubber I turn my back and wait for the commentry team to let me know the result. Can he get it past the defenders feet?
