Is the problem the bomb? or the quality of the bomb and/or chase?

Pearce's kicking game was terrible. Barba was under no pressure as the bombs were deep with no chasers. Barba was even clever enough to keep his foot on the line once he had that much time.

I agree- giving away penalties in the modern game is just giving the game on a plate to your opposition. How often do we see tries scored on the back of a penalty- i don't know the official stats- but bloody heaps.

Smith has got to drill it into their heads to not give away the type of penalty that is so easily avoided. Like being in front of the kicker when kicking off, or goal line drop out- and even kicking out on the full on a kick-off.

I can (almost) forgive a penalty for a tackle infringement- because fatigue and misjudgment will always realistically play a part in the game. But even these can be a work in progress.

We just gotta cut out the stupid penalties, to give us a chance in these types of games.

Also, I'm not a Ryles hater at all, but is he playing injured this year? He doesn't have the same impact as last year nor the offloads.

I know Smithy has a reputation for blooding younger players so maybe its time for some changes- certainly if we lose against a Tigers team with so many out this week.

      Fire up boys!!!!!
