one thing is for sure we now have the slowest backline in the comp.

with two powerfull wingers I would like to see us try and get them one on one with their opposites close to the try line, Justin Carney and BJ will be very hard to stop from 5 metres out.

The Newtown team will be interesting to see if Linnett was dropped or injured. I think the kid has been one of our best for the first three rounds. Good to see Conn has been given a thought.

good to see JC get a run, but piggy needs to go and i would suggest ryles faces the same fate, one of our worst forwards in the opening rounds and he looks slower and less effective in attack than ever before, not to mention he's given away most of our penalties...a few weeks with newtown should be the kick up the ass he needs!

on a more positive note BJ on one wing and JC on the other...SWEEEET!!!!!!

imo Linnett just dies so easily in tackles, he definitely needs to put on size
there is a large contrast in the way he and SKD plays

I pretty sure Ryles has given away 2 penalties in 3 games. I don't think you can drop a bloke for that. He probably has the same metres gain as the other forwards!

My only reasoning behind dropping Linnett is that Smithy realises we need more grunbt in our backrow which we werent getting with Maubs and Anasta. Then it came to a decision between Maubs and Linnett and Maubs won out.

Maubs can play centre pretty well. Symonds can probably play there too.

Linnett has received the ball more times in the last two matches than Shaun Kenny Dowall. He's already shown his inability to beat his man when one on one, it's something he definitely needs to work on.

Ryles has a years of performances behind him plus a good season only last year, Linnett is still developing as a player and whilst he has a good base to build on still has a lot to prove.

You sound like a NSW selector, a few poor performances and they're already past it

                  Myles -4

                  Aubusson 3
                  JWH - 3
                  Friend - 3
                  Anasta - 3

                  Ryles -2
                  Riddell - 2

                  FPN - 1

Who am I to let facts get in the way of a good argument though

The hair pull penalty was unlucky, (Idris was hunched over and his hair was blocking the jersey where Ryles aimed to take him down - what was Ryles to do?) the backchat however was vintage Ryles and the dropped ball was inexcusable and rightly led to him being hooked.

My biggest concern about Ryles is his lateral movement in the defensive line tbh, he was the inside man on both long range breaks by the Dogs - he's a target, there is not a thing he can offer that Conn can't, Conn however has far less crap in his game and solid lateral movement, it's a no brainer really.

Cheers Roosters 6. I just thing people are so hard on Ryles. Last year he was the hero of the pack. this year after 3 games should be hung. How quickly things change in sport!

Yeah, that's last season...he's playing like he aged 5 years over the offseason this season though.

Anyone else thinking about putting Justin Carney in their fantasy? Might be a secret weapen, not much will have him.

Yeh, very good young half. Surprised they didn't go with Moltzen though.
