It's amazing how many NRL players rescue people in the surf, I mean there was Brad Murray last year along with another whose name escapes me. Now Hayne and Carney in the space of only a week.
And of course Sonny Fai who died trying to rescue someone.
Must be some part of their brain as a professional athlete that just clicks in to action...
Being a surfer, i've actually pulled a few people out of the water.
I guess it all depends on how much time you spend at the beach.
They're always there for recovery sessions and what not.......And let's face it, what else do footy players have to do with their ample time away from football except playing video games and hitting the beach?

Fair point, don't live near the beach so wouldn't have a clue how often it happens.
