I will be expecting Macgyver to turn this jumpa into a rope for himself to drop into the stadium on ANZAC Day

Spot on Vasco and they shouldn't mess with the socks either.

It's a cool jersey for a commemorative event. Who cares if we have 8 jerseys for different events, the iconic Red, White and Blue V is what people think of when they think of Easts.

Its a pure and blatant money grab, no significance other than that, i think its disgusting. whats the point of having a jersey with no tradition that only gets worn once?........ no farking point at all........ I want our team to pull on a jersey with pride and tradition, otherwise why have a jersey at all?

It is only a money grab if people actually purchase it. if you don't wish to buy it and prefer the regular jersey, good, more money in your pocket.

There is no gun to people's heads forcing them to buy.

But then, was the Jersey they released for the Game V Dragons @ the SCG another bid for a money grab? i mean it was one of 5 jerseys we used last year...........

Think of it this way, the royal wedding, there is a multitude of commemortive items, yes it is a money grab, but it is commemorating a special occasion.

In a smaller and rugby league related way, this jersey is commemorating the Anzac legend and the 2011 Anzac Day match.

I would like them bring out some of the jerseys from the 90's made from cotton, not this polyester rubbish.

Agreed, the foundation jersey from a few years back (maybe 2009) was fantastic. The sky blue one also came out with no sponsors and that was good too.

I'v love to get the current home strip in cotton. I've still got a City Ford jersey but it's getting a little tight these days.

The cotton jumpers were heaps more comfortable and looked really cool as they got some age on them.

These polys only date because the sponsor changes

I agree Big_Morls and cookoman. I actually don't like the current jerseys collars also, wtf? The collars from the 90's and early 2000's feel better and look way better. Not sure what direction the future designs are going to go.
