  • I'm sh!tty

I don't get too carried away with wins and losses.

It's sport and these things happen.

Maybe I've mellowed out over the years.

But, I'm pretty sh!tty about a couple of things that are happening at the moment.

    1. Phil Graham

Why was this bloke selected to play on the weekend?

We have a talented local junior dropped and arguably one of our best over the past 2-3 seasons in Mitchell Aubusson relegated to the bench to accommodate him.

Graham should be playing for Newtown period. The ONLY time he should be considered for first grade is when we have major injuries in the three-quarters.

    2. Jason Ryles

He did a good job last year when we were re-building. His job is now finished with us. It is a professional sport now, we can't afford to carry somebody in the team because "he did a good job for us last year". It is now this year and his time is up.

If he doesn't want to play for Newtown then so be it. It's not our problem.

    3. Mark Riddell

For a start, his column is cringeworthy. They are not insightful, funny or at all interesting. It certainly hasn't helped his game. He is yesterday's hero.

Friend has proven to be capable of playing 80 minutes. If he is injured during a game then we throw a make shift player in for the remainder. They are first graders and capable of standing at dummy half and passing the ball. We don't need a player like Riddell wasting a bench spot.

I understand that experienced players have their value. They also have their use by date.

I thought Ryles looked decent against the Warriors. He didn't get a whole lot of minutes but tightened up our defence and made some good runs.

The jury is still out on him though.

Why would I do that when I stated that I had mellowed out.

I think you are pretty spot on Vasco.

Although I thought Ryles went ok on Saturday and if he was playing injured in the first few rounds then I would give him a couple of weeks to prove he deserves a spot in the team. The bench is probably where he should start though. Arona and Tasi are waiting.

I want to know if Symonds was injured. There was no news coming out of the camp and many have assumed he was dropped. Apparently he did fly over. So did he play for Newtown or did he fail a fitness test when over there?

I'm prepared to give Ryles the benefit of the doubt at the moment but agree with you about the other two players. Ryles did OK against the worriers whereas as PG was close to useless.

The worriers are another side that I'm sick to the back teeth of the Roosters losing to lately just like the merge scum stain so I'm still sh!tty too.

Is Parra still interested in Graham?

please take him, no questions asked.

Come on Parra, you know you want to........

                      Say what?

I think the jury is still out 3 poor games shouldn't be enough to outweigh a whole season.

You don't think he had a decent game this week?

Also I think Riddell deserves another shot, he was being used incorrectly at the start of the season but in the one game that he did come on towards the end of the match (Tigers game) I thought he looked quite effective.

I think he should take that 20 minutes and write his newspaper article from the stands.

Friend has played two great 80 minutes in the last couple of weeks.

Friend can move to lock though like he did in the Tigers game if needed. I'm not overly fussed though it's hardly a major problem at the moment.

I'm more worried about burning Friend out than anything, won't be a problem when Watts gets back though.
