I agree. Still not 100 percent on Frank Paul. Again, I think tasi and arona would benefit us more

I think that will be the team named. But I have a vomitting feeling that Smithy is going to call back Piggy. My only change to that team would be to give Tasi a go now that he has played some decent games for Newtown. I'd replace FPN. Too hot and cold for me and a little more cold than hot. A couple of hit outs at Henson might sharpen him up. I'd also replace Ryles with Arona but Smithy won't do that.

Thats exactly it for me. i know a lot of us have criticised ryles this year in partciular but i think the warriors game showed that he is far better suited to coming off the bench this year. i thought his carries were good and his stats were also pretty good (11 runs, 91m, 1 tackle break, 15 tackles) - the perfect compliment to the impact of masoe.

Kennedy, JWH, Myles and friend up the middle were dynamite and need to be allowed to gel as a combination imo but really good signs.

A minor thing but i cant understand why smith has decided to move BJ to the right wing since perrett has been injured. I think carney playing outside SKD and leilua playing with aubusson gives our side much better balance whilst also ensuring carney has better support for the highball with SKD inside him instead of another vertically challenged player like maubs. I also think it will serve to benefit our team more in terms of combinations. Imo our long term left edge will feature leilua at left centre and maubs as our left sided backrower (when anasta retires) so this allows them to develop an understanding to each others games. similarly our right edge going forward should be:

With perrett injured, Carney should obviously slot straight out onto that right edge to minimise the effect on team cohesion by shuffling players around the backline.

If FPN has another bad game i would drop him and bring in riddell - lets face it smith will do it anyway so at least we could stretch his 'injury break' out by another week to give FPN who is an international after all another chance and conn another chance to shine before we drop one of the two to accomodate riddell and ultimately watts when he is back from injury.

Arona can play hook. Doesnt even have to do that much. Just pass the ball from dumi for a few minutes to give friend a break. He is already a solid A or B defender.
He'd do a far better job then fatass. Tasi would do a far better job then ryles. Made for 1st grade.
