    Todd out this weekend

    http://ken-cdn220-is-1.se.bptvpd.ngc...thyrd6_2MB.mp4

    The team as it stands:
    1. Mini
    2. J Carney
    3. Maubs
    4. SKD
    5. BJ
    6. Braith
    7. Pearce
    8. Ryles
    9. Friend
    10. Kennedy
    11. Symonds
    12. FPN
    13. Myles
    14. Riddell
    15. Conn
    16. Mose
    17. JWH

Disappointing to see Todd out but probably confirms a lot of the suspicions here he was playing injured. Personally think this could be positive for the team for the time being, he clearly wasn't in the right condition to be playing, will be good to see how the Roosters go being well and truly underdogs for just about the first time this season.
I support two NRL teams, the Roosters and whoevers playing Souths

Just super. A second rower (and a dud at that) and a centre playing in the halves.

If we don't get lapped then Locky's already retired.

I feel like slotting him back into my fantasy side, as Captain.

        I'm hoping it's a different injury...

I'll call it now, Mitchell Pearce man of the match, his best game this year was with Carney out, I think he's going to step up

Did you consider he could have been dropped by Smith after he read bitemesod's letter so as to accommodate Symonds into the starting line up?

It might be a stronger side for the time being. Carney has been a passenger this year through no fault of his own, and really needed to be rested for the first three or four rounds to get his groin right. It was a shithouse decision by management and the medical staff to rush him back. We've pretty much had to play with 16 men this year with him in the side, and given our poorly balanced pack, it has really hurt us. Having Anasta and Pearce in the halves at least allows us to bring in an extra forward, and we don't have to worry about getting the ball to Carney who - albeit the champion player he is - has done very little. He doesn't kick, he can't get any power in his passes due to his groin and he can barely run. It took a month, but a good decision was finally made.

It'll take a while for Toddy to detox, he only went off the booze a month ago. He's probably still got the shakes which would account for all his dropped balls.

                    Chook.

This is exactly right, he should have never been rushed back to begin with. You need 17 fit players. Its better that he comes back 100% Fit at the back end of the season rather then being rushed back and re-injuring his groin.

After all the flack Smithy got for "dropping" Symonds last week it seems he was injured afterall.

Todd was a passenger last week and made some big errors. He was ill though.

JJ played well in Round 1 without Todd so he needs to take control this week.

defensively we should be more solid this week with Graham,Carney both out.

don't be suprised if Masoe is out also with neck injury.

puts a lot of pressure on Pearce to be that creative spark, wouldn't want to be Justin Carney with Braith/Maubs feeding him the ball he is likely to catch a cold out on the wing.

one big concern for us this week is the Broncos young speed men out wide, wouldn't surprise to see us concede a few tries via grubber kicks behind BJ/Carney.

IMO Carney isn't out because of injury it is more his mental state he is clearly in a bad place at the moment and the threat of jail time has really shaken him up.
