  • Luke "diamond" Phillips sideline judge

Just noticed that our very own Luke Phillips is a touch judge for our game at Bluetongue this week.

I'm sure he will do a fair job, but it might be hard to resist the urge to throw on a jersey and run on sometime during the match

I'm sure he won't let an opposition winger place his foot half a meter over the sideline.

I was about to make a Younis joke but I think everyone will go there.

Luke Phillips still lays claims to the best covering tackle of all time for his perfect read and ball and all wrap up of Andrew Johns in the 2000 Preliminary Final.

              Jesus that was a match.

Destroys the 2010 Tigers final for sure.

You couldn't script a better game of football. Unless you wrote in St.George or the Dogs.

                    .
I will never forget how he had Billy Peden and another player running at him and he had to choose. The game was well and truly on the line and he guessed right- and smashed Peden. Sterlo called it the turning point of the match and it was one of a few!

Easily one of my all time favourite matches- jeez he was a solid fullback.

Loved Freddy's intercept, Solamona's hands and Joey's dummy spit- fan bloody tastic.

Gould labelled it the tackle of the season.
