What is this magic salary cap business?

That said, if he does not want to be here, no point standing in his way. Somewhat concerning that he is contracted till end of 2012 but is already talking to the Titans at this early stage.
Isn't his fiancee from up that way?
Anyone know because that would explain a lot.

Always remember Chris Walker came here because Kate Ritchie was from around here.

Or should I say Kate Webb now?

Mate, i don't blame that knucklhead for chasing Ms Ritchie. I too became an admirer of the "talented" actress after watching her in action! What a delight .

If he wants to go, then that is something different..

To replace him would take a big signing...There is no one playing for Newtown that can replace Myles, believe me...
James Graham will reveal in the next two weeks the NRL club he has decided to join. Graham is a front rower and I know we are interested to sign him. I think if Ryles quits this year Graham would be a perfect candidate for the position, we have plenty of back rowers at the club and a lack of rugged, experienced props. I hope we win his signature.

If Nate has been negotiating with the Tits, I suspect the club has given him permission to do so early. Which could be a number of scenario's

1.) He has been told he can negotiate elsewhere for 2012 b/c we need his cap space for targets/retention
2.) He has asked to negotiate elsewhere b/c he wants out

I can't imagine the club would be too happy if he hadn't received permission to do so and I can't see him talking to other clubs now unless it was for next season.

Could be a victim of re-signing Braith.. what a major cock up that was.

had hoped this guy had fallen off the radar

an honest toiler at best, and would be a ridiculous purchase

I think Braith's re-signing would be more as a cover for Pearce and Carney during origin and if they get injured. Who else do we have to call up? You only have to look at this week's lineup to see why it's valuable to still have Braith in the squad.

I'm almost certain it's for next year, on foxsports they said his contract was ending this year?? which i wasn't sure about, maybe he has a get out clause or something, but if he wants to go then good luck to him, no wonder he hasn't been playing his best, he's probably very close to signing with the titans so his future's safe and he sees no reason to have to play like he did last year (when i presume he was trying to attract a contract extension with the club or impress rival clubs).

Besides his spot in the qld team is a assured no matter how he plays and with a few alright performances at the right times he might get a call up on the bench for the kangaroos,i doubt we'll ever again see him chase down backs like he did last year...

Considering how much cash he's on, i wouldn't actually miss him too much, it would free up a lot of $$ to resign some of our promising young blokes and maybe a few established players form other clubs...

You've been putting up with Braith for years, now Nate has a slow start to one season and you want him gone...

                              Myles is an established player.

I don't think you sign your Captain as cover for a few matches a year. That is what Anthony Watts is/was.
