I DON'T WANT HIM GONE....at all!!! I'm just saying if he wants to go (and this seems to be the case) i'm not gonna lose any sleep over it, same with braith or ryles etc. I don;t want them gone, but if they wanna go then we shouldn't even bother tryna retain them.

Snapper concerns me, his hitups are mostly ineffectual and every tackle he makes these days I'm nervous about him being blown for a penalty as he is sooooooooooooo slow to get up. I don't think we need him, and at the ~$325k he's on at the moment + him looking around over a season before his contract expires I'd lose no sleep about him leaving. Arona could do the same job, Goodwin from the NYC could too - and for half the price.

      Smart business.

You're saying the under 20's player Goodwin could do the same job as Myles?

        In First Grade?

Based on what Nate has offered so far this season, yes. Lou would make another ~15 tackles too, he has the potential to be the next Dallas Johnson.

Boyd Cordner is the closest thing to Nate Myles and he's a long way off First Grade at the moment.

You remind me of Dwight Schrute from The Office (US)... I swear you sound like him and half your posts consist of what you just said, or similar. It always gives me a smile so its not a bad thing I guess

I see the problem here. There's a baby in your body.

If Myles wants to go - let him go. No point in keeping a player who's not 100% committed to your club.

He's looked unsettled this season. And certainly doesn't look happy - on or off the field from what I've seen of him.

He's not playing badly, but there's definitely something amiss with him.

FPN, Arona, Conn, Cordner, Goodwin are your 5 potential replacements for Myles. The first three have proven they can play at the top level. FPN showed last year that when fit and committed he is more than capable of playing 80mins and doing some of the hard stuff up the middle. I think conn is best suited to lock as well and arona definitely looks the goods and considering he also has some tidy ball skills, he could make a good prospect as well. the 2 u20s boys have stacks of potential but i do appreciate that 1st grade and 20s are 2 completely different things. Im still on the fence. if he left i wouldnt be crying by any stretch, if he didnt i wouldnt be disappointed either. in the short term he probably isnt directly replaceable but if we replace him with a snowden then im all for it.

btw with the coast making all these signings, what would be think about signing laffranchi on a similar sort of deal that ryles got. i dont think he is past it by any stretch, he would add plenty of experience and a strong workrate to our pack which is what we have been missing and considering he may well be forced out, i cant see him demanding big bucks particularly seeing as though he is towards the end of his career. could be a smart pick up ala ryles

I have to agree.. I watched him closely last Saturday and whilst he looked committed imho there is certainly something missing.. For someone who should be showing leadership to the youngsters he still seems to be lacking in that area but most importantly if his heart is not into staying then it does not matter how good he is, it is best to let him go.

Most clubs defensive workhorses are not on big money. You can get someone on half of Myles pay to do a similar job. He's not worth what he's on.

It really surprises me he is talking to them this far out (if that's the case). I'm a bit disappointed in him, because we stuck by him through some pretty bad shit (pun intended). If his heart isn't in the club any more then... I won't finish that sentence.

Myles seems to spend a fair bit of time in hotel rooms & corridors.
