Was depressed enough after last night but this is enough to send me over the edge. Don't really give two hoots about Watts - sack him for all I care but PLEASE don't let Carney be involved not only for the team and fans but for himself -surely he wouldn't be that stupid.

        I won't jump to conclusion.
An assault is ANYTHING that could scare somebody, that or ANY unwelcome physical contact. The cops always trick women into writing statements that say "oh he did some kind of soft physical contact..." they trick the women by saying "oh it isn't serious... no gaol or anything... we'll just have a talk with him and sort stuff out."

As soon as they get a signature on a statement they turn around and arrest the guy, lock him up and ignore the woman because all she'll say is "FARK YOU!!!! YOU PROMISED YOU'D JUST TALK WITH HIM!!!! HE DID NOTHING I WANNA WITHDRAW MY STATEMENT!!!!"

"He assaulted you ma'am... we'll take it from here..."

        ---

Not saying he did nothing, but an arrest these days means jack sh!t... the cops will do it is a girl says a guy yelled at him (which they'll then keep pushing so they can prove an assault somehow... as soon as he says "I yelled" he's gaaaaaaaawn.)

I hope FFS that Watts wasn't stupid and cowardly enough to do a "real" assault, but franted theres no battery I doubt it is serious.

Hey don't worry if we can can convince the person to say they assaulted themselves (eg birds missus) or that watts was simply trying to stop the person hurting themselves ala inglis we might escape media attention , then we can sack him. ( if he did assault someone that is)

Why didn't they travel with the team ?

Even if they are injured, they are still a part of the squad and need to lend their support to the group playing.

If Carney hit the piss ----> See ya.

                  Watts - automatic goodbye.

The severity of triviality of the act is irrellevant. At this point of the season, after the pre-season rubbish, lessons should of been learned. By simply putting themselves into that position - they have sealed their fate.

If Watts admits guilt... Sack him.

If Carney is drinking... Suspend him without pay and send him to a real detox.

These idiots getting on the turps when injured are seriously starting to sh&t me. Getting on the lunatic soup mid-sason is unprofessional.

Watts, Myles, Carney, Geurra have all been whispered to be acting like gooses on the plonk.

I don't care. Adopt a zero tolerance policy. This has gone on too long and I am frankly embarrassed by these gooses.

Here's the cop release I just got sent:

A man has been arrested and charged after an alleged domestic assault at Coogee, in Sydney’s east, this morning.

About 4am today (Sunday 17 April), a 24-year-old man and 24-year-old woman became involved in a verbal argument in the loungeroom of a Bream Street apartment.

The man then allegedly punched the woman to the face, before striking her numerous times to the back of the head.

It’s further alleged the woman was thrown into couch, causing her head to impact the arm rest.

She suffered bruising and swelling to her left eye as a result of the alleged incident.

Police from Eastern Beaches Local Area Command attended the scene and conducted inquiries.

The man was arrested and taken to Maroubra Police Station.

He was subsequently charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He’s been conditionally bailed to appear in Waverley Local Court on 21 April 2011.

A provisional Domestic Apprehended Violence Order has been granted and served on the man.
