A man has been arrested and charged after an alleged domestic assault at Coogee, in Sydney’s east, this morning.

About 4am today (Sunday 17 April), a 24-year-old man and 24-year-old woman became involved in a verbal argument in the loungeroom of a Bream Street apartment.

The man then allegedly punched the woman to the face, before striking her numerous times to the back of the head.

It’s further alleged the woman was thrown into couch, causing her head to impact the arm rest.

She suffered bruising and swelling to her left eye as a result of the alleged incident.

Police from Eastern Beaches Local Area Command attended the scene and conducted inquiries.

The man was arrested and taken to Maroubra Police Station.

He was subsequently charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He’s been conditionally bailed to appear in Waverley Local Court on 21 April 2011.

A provisional Domestic Apprehended Violence Order has been granted and served on the man.

        Like I said.

        Zero tolerance for domestic violence.

Zero tolerance for alcohol related misdemeanours.

Zero tolerance for bringing our club into disrepute.

        I am sick of it.

Carney - guilty by association. Unless it is stated in his contract tha he can't drink alcohol theres no chance of getting rid of him.

Sacking is going to be a moot point. He'll get jail time for that.

Seeya Watts, look forward to becoming someones bitch in jail, now we await Carneys involvement if any.

If Beetroot face has him charged with guilt by association hours before, he should be sued.

WTF does it mention another male (in Carney)?

The Telegraph Online can reveal Watts spent the night out with Roosters superstar Todd Carney before the incident occured.

They could have been watching the footy together. Why mention Todd's name when he had nothing to do with the incident? Yet so many here are saying he should be sacked too. So what if he had a beer. IF he had a beer. For all we know he could have been drinking water all night but so many have jumped to the conclusion because of one line this biased fcukwit writes.

                        [QUOTE=pearcesworstnightmare;115449Carneys involvement if any.
                        .[/QUOTE]

Most likely no involvement but throw in his name with Watts.

I would be really disappointed if Carney was drinking though. Its tough I guess to give up drinking if you have that problem, I guess I can only compare it to when I gave up smokes and all the failures I had. Only difference is I didnt cause havoc when trying to quit.

Given his history, reputation and the incident earlier in the season, Carney should be off the booze.

If he cannot accomplish that, then he should look into another line of work, one with a lower profile.

From what I have heard it sounds like Watts had alot to do with Carney falling off the wagon to begin with. Fark him off....he is a grub and always will be. Even looks like a grub
